Once Upon A Time In The West - 9/10.

First time i've seen it. The opening scene in particular was class and i love how the slow pace really builds the tension.
Modern films take note, sometimes you just need to let the actors act.

Plus it has the the gorgeous Claudia (my current avatar)
Film Four right now (+1) "Kidnapped" MIchael Caine's Scottish accent is something to behold

Do The Right Thing 8/10
Was really enjoying it up to the end which seemed a bit ott. Loads of nice characters suddenly going batshit for no real reason? Seemed a bit heavy-handed. Pros outweigh the cons though.
Just noticed Gustavo Fring is Bugging Out!

The Invisible Man.

Great in parts but a bit flat towards the end after the great bits of tension earlier on.
Still, very enjoyable. 6.5/10

Last of the Mohicans - (1992) 8.5/10 excellent fast paced storytelling and looks magnificent.

Last of the Mohicans - (1936) 7/10 a rollicking telling of the story complete with delicate ladies and questionable Native Americans.

May do some more before and afters. Not Get Carter though.

World War Z - 8.8/10 3rd watch

Uncut Gems - 7.9/10
I really enjoyed it.

28 Days Later
8/10

A rewatch, just to brush up on survival skills in case civilisation collapses this week.
Astounding opening 30 minutes, followed by a very good tale of staying alive. Naomie Harris is especially excellent, in her portrayal of hard- nosed survivalist Selena

False advertising - it was either the last or it wasn't.

The Good Liar - not bad and nice to see McKellen and Mirren together.

Just watched Angels with Dirty Faces while doing the ironing. Still fresh, great performance from Cagney, I was a bit teary at the end. Was he a yellow coward or not? I lean towards yes.
