Can we still finish in an automatic place?

Heading for our worst ever league position in our history. Embarrassing. And, I cant see anyone with any real financial backing wanting to take us over until we are a championship club. Amateurs and chancers have ruined our club.👹

It's clearly possible but our defence has regressed to pre Bailey Wright and you can't win the number of away games we have without clean sheets. Sorry like, Ozturk is a good bloke but Parkinson was correct - he is just not good enough.
 
The situation is, a lot of these players are happy to see us remain in this League.....this being their level, promotion means they will be replaced.
 
A good manager would be able to keep ahead of the game with innovation to combat being sussed by others. We have been worked out - again.
 
With the form we are showing and the teams below having games in hand I can't see us finishing in a play off position
 
Mssrs Power, Dobson, Gooch, Maguire,Flanagan,et al will all fancy another year in L1. We'll probably be stuck with Wyke Grigg and Watmore and will probably lose Onion and keeper. As long as SD is the owner then PP stays and we will have a summer of lies and platitudes about what we intend to do third time round ! My trips from Manchester are going to be harder 😩
 
As mentioned we have too many players whereby promotion wouldn't be in there best interests... Not saying that players are not trying as such but is there a real motivation to get promoted
 
Of course we can. We are only 3 points behind 2nd. Fair enough the other teams around us have games in hand but it means nowt unless they all win them. I think play offs is a more realistic target right now though.
 
Can you? Yes. Anything can happen until the fat lady sings. 3 points off an automatic promotion place. If you had won last night this place would have been full of posts saying you would go up as champions.

Next 4 games against crap sides. Win these and you should be looking good for a top 2 finish.

But even after all these predictions it comes down to how the other clubs do. Most of them are in poor form. I'm a gambling man. My money would be on you getting about 5th.
 
I think last night killed our chance of going up automatically. We never even threatened a team who everyone has been beating. We can still make the playoffs, but with our 3 week break we're likely to be well off the pace for 2nd.
