How else do you celebrate a 97th minute equaliser?! Politely clap..

on the other hand they looked like they’d just lost the World Cup so it’s all swings and roundabouts.. anything that JB says to us or about us is aimed at getting a response - we just need to stop giving him the light of day.. he can just F*** off and go back to managing Fleetwood in the 3rd division cos that’s all he’ll ever do

They are a big physical outfit. Phil Parkinson has got them going well but with that style of football, you’d rather watch us than Sunderland as we play football.

Poor bait that.
I can't believe that anyone would prefer to watch Fleetwood. But I agree that his team passed the ball better than us last night.
Anyway, best ignored.

Nee problem celebrating the goal, but I thought celebrating the draw at full time was a bit crap - which I think he was more referring to.

The gap between the ball hitting the net and the final whistle was barely 30 seconds mind, hard to suddenly switch off that much adrenaline. I like to think I was as measured as they come, but I was still bouncing from the goal at full time. Even outside of the Barton factor, that goal was a 3 point swing between the 2 clubs, league one or not, it was nice to savour.

It was important not to lose like - especially with Coventry and Rotherham ahead.

The whole thing worries me. We come up against a side up there and thereabout with us and come unstuck. It doesn't fill me with confidence.

I don’t think we outplayed them for the majority of the game.

I was impressed with some of the stuff they did play. They’ve been on an excellent run.

I reckon the goal keeps up the momentum and keeps us in the hunt.. had we lost things would look very different - I think the celebrations were more to do with the magnitude of that - than that we had equalised against Fleetwood.. but take your point

From BBC Sport.

Fleetwood boss Joey Barton says Sunderland celebrated their 97th-minute equaliser "like a World Cup final victory".
