Don't think I've despised a TV show as much, barring reality stuff.
It was well put together and funny for it’s time but it was a lasses show with a few glaring flaws. That loft apartment was beautiful but the rent would’ve been more than all of their wages combined.

Chandler was funny. Ross was nails down a blackboard annoying. Rachel was the only lass character with any depth.

They corrected these faults with Big Bang Theory. Rachel became Penny, Chandler was cloned four times and Ross was quietly done away with.

Must've been an anniversary or something last year, but remember there was a bit of a look back in the media which suggested it wasn't very PC & wouldn't get away with it today. Which surprised me as I always thought even back then it was way way too PC. Very preachy telling us that drinking & smoking is bad etc. Is it normal that a group of 20 somethings hang out in a coffee shop rather than the pub.

These days? Aye. Either that or the gym.

The loft apartment had previously belonged to Monica’s grandmother and they left it in her name so it was covered under rent control. It’s mentioned in an episode.

There's a load of things I don't like, but I'll always make sure to watch enough of it before making a judgement. I used to turn my nose up at Rick and Morty until a mate made me watch it and it's actually a good show.

As for Friends, it's a nostalgia trip. Good background noise with some memorable episodes.

I've never seen a second of Sex In The City either mate, but even without watching it I could tell you 100% it would not be my cup of tea.

TBF that’s just American sitcoms of that era. For a spin-off of a sitcom set in a bar, the cast of Frasier hardly spent any time in pubs either!

Nah, back in the 90's

Oh ok, just your use of ‘is’ rather than ‘was’ threw me.

The ‘set in a bar’ thing had already been done with ‘Cheers’ at that point, audiences needed a change.

If you want to watch a twenty-something group sitcom show set in a bar you need it’s vastly inferior rip-off ‘Coupling’.
