Latest boxing crack

The argument of people moaning about fights not being made doesn't make any sense. The fights with high demand have traditionally been those worthy of PPV. Saturating the market with PPV opportunities reduces the likelihood of those fights happening. Its not like we're getting saturated with quality fights, otherwise people wouldn't be that arsed.
Audley fought David Haye on PPV. This piss takings been going on a long time.

Haye made Sky abandon PPV for a while

You seem positively delighted to have to pay for the pleasure.
Well not that happy like 😀. But happy for the fights.

Aye, except it doesn't help make fights any more than before.

I'm a massive boxing fan as well. I'll pay for the ones that's worth it and complain when I think fans are being bent over. If you don't mind paying for fights that aren't PPV worthy that's fine, but it rubs plenty people up the wrong way and it doesn't make them any less of a fan for complaining.

Some decent crack from Avenesyan’s manager today in the presser against Adam Booth calling him a conman for how he managed the pullout in the first night !

Should be a decent build up and fight for this one like !
Booth was a bit lost for words, dont think he was expecting all that.

Aye. Not suggesting it does.

Exactly. If everything is PPV, then why bother going for the mega fights?

Thing is, anything that'll make more money on PPV than on normal telly - why would a promoter NOT put it on PPV? What possible business reason is there?

But everything isn’t Ppv is it. The 5 year trend has been the heavyweights in the main.

but I get fights like degale and Eubankjr are creeping in.

economics will determine this

Boxing is far too controlled by the promoters. Its like the big prem teams deciding to play the teams at the bottom of the league week in week out just so they can win the matches. Boxing needs tighter regulation from the boxing organisations for mandatory fights if boxers want to retain belts.
The boxing governing bodies are just as bent as the promoters, in reality it's the TV companies making all the decisions...However I do agree something needs to change as we are mostly been fed hyped up shit fights..

Honestly mate. How.
Fury vs Wilder aside there's not many fights happening with boxers in the top 10 who are signed to different promoters/tv companies. You only have to see what's happening at the minute with eddy Hearns/ dezone, he creating a monopoly signing every top ten fighter under the sun, which in my opinion long term wont be good for boxing...

Does my nut in Promoters and TV networks are a pain in the arse. Terence Crawford is one of the best fighters in the world, he has been at 147lbs for a while now but because of politcis is yet to fight another top 147lber. Wasting his prime.

Callum Smith turning Canelo down because the offer isn't good enough confirmed by Hearn today. If you think you can win then accept what is on offer. If you win then you have beaten the biggest draw in the sport and you get to demand massive paydays.

The problem is in the meantime Smith will fight a nobody on a PPV while he's telling everyone he's willing to fight Canelo, it just shit...

Had to laugh at Marsh's Boxing Social interview when he was looking to protect the identity of a 'leading Matchroom fighter from the North East' who claimed that Kelly had pulled out of the rescheduled Avanesyan fight that was meant to happen in Newcastle.

Doesn't take Columbo to figure out who that might have been :)
