Go to Stranraer. Not least because my family are from there. Not loads going on mind.

Banff up past Aberdeen.
Stranraer, nickname the toon (or something along them lines).
Lovely little town, last time i was there they were moving the ferry to loch ryan (i think) lots of talk of redevelopment at the time.

My great uncle live in NS.

Aye the ferry is in Loch Ryan a short drive up the coast.

Some nice places around Ayr too or heading down into the hook.

Had some cracking holidays in N.S.
One time after a long day climbing the Merrick we called into the Star pub while we waited for the chinese we had ordered, being the only sober ones in there at 7pm we ended up drawing the raffle for the days charity draw. We were trusted (despite being "the f'in english") we rolled out of there in the early hours and had our chinese for breakfast/lunch the next day. Everybody who won one of the decent donated prizes bought us a drink.🥴

Melrose. Nice little place, plenty of history nearby.
North Berwick, again. Handy for Edinburgh.

or, go over the bridge into Fife. Loads of little fishing villages to check out.
