Reclining your seat during a flight:

If I'm on a long flight, I'll put my chair back a few inches....I don't see why people feel the need to have it all the way back....makes your back knack anyway.

Flew to Australia a few years back, Scouser in front of me got straight in his seat,whallop...all the way back, I asked him nicely If he could maybe move it forward a few inches as I'm 6ft.....grumbled that he was trying to sleep......the stewardess then told him to put his seat up, as we hadn't even taken off....dozy kernt....as soon as we were up, seat back again....stuck my knees up to give myself a bit of space....he leant back and back but I was locked and going no where.....I proceeded to kick fuck out of his seat all the way to Singapore.....food was served I shouted 'grubs up' and booted it.... I'm usually a nice person but this bellend got on my wick, he kept mumbling to his Mrs about what he was going to do...as usual he did fuck all...

we booked business class on the way back, and he was on my flight!....I raised my glass and winked at him as he went past....
Should have purposely moved to the seat right behind his.

She’s in the wrong in my eyes, dozy bint! Stupid having reclining seats when there isn’t enough room cattle class anyway.
This all day, I'm a great believer in knee defender myself;

See that’s just a piss take, and you aren’t allowed it reclined until you’re up in the air anyway because it’s a safety hazard for the person behind. Once you’re up, fair game.

just the usual ignorant twat you tend to bump into while travelling unfortunately......

still...he didn't kip much, I'd had coffee on purpose, headphones on.....
:D

Flying and long coach journeys can be very stressful. Always going to be conflict like this. Also shared armrest wrestling with a stranger. I try my best to be considerate and easy going. I'd rather give a little than have a stressful struggle with strangers. If you you can approach the journey in a laidback (phnar, phnar) way, you will benefit by having a better journey.

Aye the armrest thing is more of a problem tbh.

People might get pissed off but the person reclining is in ultimate control. The armrest thing is a different matter where it is a battle of wills. The centre seat should be in control of both imo.

You do realise the tray is independent of the seat and doesn’t move when the seat moves.
Not always.
the recline feature has a minimal impact anyway on the space. people are making it out like you lose half your space.
Canny impact on head space and TV viewing imo. Also makes it less comfortable to eat a meal. Not much impact on legroom though ime.

Two wrongs ? How is she possibly in any way shape or form in the wrong ? I would be suing the airline.
Filming it like a gonk instead of engaging in civilised discussion. Common courtesy would suggest she should ask before reclining, although she may well have done.

As I said, what happened to verbal communication? We have someone going on like a caveman and someone else going on like they've never had face to face interaction with anyone. Bizarre times.
