Me.

Cracking away day this. Beautiful City, cracking pubs and the delights of the local Shotover Brewery.

Up there with Rochdale, Tranmere, Lincoln and Accrington away days this season.

3rd visit to the City of Dreaming Spires in just under a year for me.

According to their forum there is serious doubts that this game will be on due to the 50mph wind and torrential rain. They reckon it's more to do with Health and Safety due to the ground only having 3 sides and being surrounded by trees as well as the pitch flooding too easily.

Not the greatest news for those sitting with an £87 non-refundable train ticket in their pocket. Still it won't be the first time: they called off the FA Cup tie in 1992 just after I'd jumped off the bus after an 10 hour journey from Edinburgh.

How about the mind numbing chew on to get to the ground?

Piece of piss man.

I booked taxis yesterday from pub to ground, and ground back to station afterwards. I bumped into some lads at the match last night, and will have a pint together before the taxi to the ground to make it much cheaper for us all.

I myself really can't see the problem......but we're all different I guess.

I can't wait for Saturday.

Hope you enjoy your away day Saturday 👍

My first away game! I can't f***ing wait. Also my first time in Oxford but I'm staying with a mate (and erstwhile ex) who knows the place well as she lives there. She and her girlfriend will show me the sights/boozers.

Enjoy your day, it's a cracking City with loads of history and great pubs in the City Centre 👍

Hope the weather (bad) holds off......fingers crossed.

Yes, me +3 thanks to a very kind person on here who has sorted tickets for us. Just a heads up, the weather is going to be shite on Saturday with heavy rain and 40mph+ winds forecast.

Me plus 6 - my lad, @offmenut and his lad, 2 cousin's, cousin’s husband and their 7 year old who supports Man City with the Lads being his other team so this is all part of his education.
  can't wait.
Due a win at Oxford!

Storm Dennis!
Why do storms have really nice sounding names?

Try the Royal Blenheim on the corner of St Ebbes St and Pembroke St. Cracking real ales at £3.30 a pint - this is very cheap for Oxford...Tell Steve the landlord that Royston Vasey sent you
