Latest boxing crack

I think it's justified. Quality of PPV cards have gone down whilst frequency and price have increased.
That’s life, things change based on supply and demand

When I was young, a cd cost £12.99, they’re now less than a tenner (or available for bugger all on streaming services)

its a harsh business, I don’t mind them getting paid. I pay for the ones I want to watch (admittedly have streamed a few)

Been years since I paid for a ppv night. in fact the last one iirc was Lewis v Bruno, possibly, it was years back now, I forgotten for certain

I’ll never pay again

It hasn't really been over a great time span. If you don't mind paying for a lower quality service for more money then that's fine, but I think it's pretty fair to be pissed off about having more PPVs of a lower standard for more money.

I get the point

but we can apply it to any sport. ITV boxing in the 80s and 90s was free. Then sky came along.

cricket has not been on free to air for years

PPV is just one step up. And for blokes getting smacked in the face, I don’t begrudge it that much.

I have other issues with boxing

- inability to make the best fights
- the quality of judging

It's more like 2 steps up, since most people who pay PPV already have Sky Sports in

Don't think anyone would disagree with the other issues you mention

The prevalence of promoters putting on shit PPVs doesn't really help the issue of making the best fights mind. Why fight the best when you can jump on PPV regardless.

I'd have less issue if the cards had proper depth, but more often than not when it's a decent undercard people look at it and think "that's actually not a bad undercard". People's expectations have been dulled and having to fork out more money for the luxury of it.

Oh I agree with that

Let's see what he's got left.

Light middle is wide open at the moment.

Would love to see a statement performance from him here and maybe a title shot this year.
