Whisky

Tyndrum is excellent for hand fills which you don't see so much in other stores. I'm in a Super 6 league with Craig from Tyndrum, he's a good bloke.

What would your recommendations be from Tyndrum when my next payday comes around? I'm thinking about £60-70 mark?

Really like Tynedrum ( bought a few of their indy bottlings)
Any chance of getting them to do free delivery then if you're connected

same ones...I don't like Amazon as a company or some of their practices, BUT there are often loads of bargains and to be honest I always compare then to anyone else before I buy

Unfortunately Craig just runs the store, he doesn’t own it so I don’t get free delivery either. Only perk I really get is extra chocolates with are quickly confiscated by the missus.

guessing you can only do the hand fills in store ?
like the sound of that.

Depending what’s available at Islay I might bring a few “ bottle your own” back. I know quite pricey but sort of unique and a something unavailable elsewhere

It’s not from Tyndrum but is excellent for around that price point including shipping. Don’t think it’s available in the UK any more.

Glenturret is very good if you like smoky, from Tyndrum.

He has handfills on the website quite often. The Glenglassaugh ones in particular are worth looking out for.

got outbid on a couple of recent Glenglassaugh in the SW Auction...official bottlings but they seem to be very under the radar, unlike their big brother

The Bruichladdich valinches are pretty much uniformly decent re hand fills, especially the Port Charlotte. It’s been a while since I bought much on Islay as I always go via Campbeltown and spend my budget before I get there.

not doing Bruichladdich unfortunately...only there for two full days.
Heard that the Bunnahabhain “ bottle your own“ are interesting. Will also see what Ardbeg, Laga and Laphroaig have available

Last time I was at Lagavulin it cost something like £190 and you only got 3 x 20cl bottles. You also had to book a slot for it if I recall correctly.

well I won’t be doing that
Bunnahbhain do theirs at £35 for a 20cl bottle...still not cheap but better value than Lagavulin’s
No slot, you just do it during their tour of the warehouse I believe

Balblair was £95 last year for their hand-fill cask bottling, Auchentoshan was about the £80 mark the year before if I remember right,
