Yeah cause all kids want to leave home at the age of 16 , but lets make no effort to keep them eh ......

No we should be keeping our best young players and developing them. Invest in them and build something. Some lads who have left didn't particularly want to.

You've got yourself into a very silly position where your defending everything within the club despite it being a mess. Open your eyes, remove your tongue from Donald's arse and see how things actually are.

I hear this touting being banded about all the time. Seems to be quite a lot of heresay going on. Until someone actually is prepared to name names and go on record people can hide behind this. Can we do more yes. Can we compete with the opportunities at these big clubs at the minute? Absolutely not. Wish people would accept that no matter what parents or people want to make out the financial rewards are so huge you just don’t turn them down.

What I'm saying is sweetie that some these young lads could be borderline on there descions and if they are shown a bit of love and that they are wanted then going into an academy with a tougher chance of making the 1st team and moving away from home might not be the straight forward descion it is when your being forced out the door . Maybe he could be that 1% maybe luca Stephenson could have been that 1%

Ask his Ma, she's on here....woulda a bit of a cuddle stopped him leaving a League Juan clusterfook for the top 6?

Not having a pop, if he had of been asked to stay would he? Or would they still choose to join a top 6 Premier League Academy, which could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, I don't blame them one bit, good luck to them, I'd do exactly the same for my kid....

If you read the Stephensons parents version of things , things were well in process when they found out about it . Maybe if they wernt he wouldn't have left for another club or would have certainly made things more difficult. That's the argument of people on here we are making it to easy for this to happen .
 
We need the academy kids but there is something to be said for mugging off the big greedy Premiership clubs. If we can get them to pay more than what they are worth and if they are happy to pay massive prices then so be it. Better for the lower league sides. They are getting unknown and unproven talent and we get the one thing we need the most - money to spend on top notch, proven League One players.

I'm not making excuses for the klerb, another Fook up, but if they had of mentioned the interest what have happened? Heed turned?
When the big boys are sniffing if they don't get their own way they put it in the public domain all you can then do is get the best deal....
