Noticed we ain’t got a thread for the new year.

anyone got any trips booked for this year. Nothing for me this year I’m afraid.

anyone had a round in yet? I’m waiting for March I think. Too wet still for me.
Hope to shade a few strokes from my 20 handicap this year.

Not played yet, won a game at the George washy never played there so may have a look. Away to Mallorca in April hotel
Is very close to the local course so will have a look at that.

Off to play Lockerbie / Silloth & Carlisle in mid April.

Other than that it’ll be weekly Sunday rounds at Whitburn and a few society days out with The Promenade society.

I've only played a quick 9 holes this weekend just gone, the course wasn't in bad condition considering the amount of rain these last few weeks, but the greens were completely covered in frost, which completely fucked my putting.

Hoping to shave a few shots off my handicap this year now that I've got a decent driver and putter that I'm actually comfortable hitting.

No trips planned. I managed to play five times in ten days over the festive period as we had very little rain in the North West. My left hip is still bothering me but I'm not letting it stop me from playing golf.

Annual golf trip booked for June.

8 Reprobates on our 15th. annual trip.

QDL South
QDL North
Victoria
Laranjal

Getting silly in price now , but great trip and still worth every penny.

My course has been open throughout with only 1 temporary green to date, it's great to keep going out. Booked Portugal in May for 4 rounds. New 3 wood fitted, it's just my golf that lets me down :)

I’ve not stopped playing, course open all year round and no temp tees or greens. Playing as much as I can I prep for summer. I’m looking at AP1 718 irons, anyone got any experience using these. Currently play off 25.

Playing in the winter sweep pretty much every other week

think I’ve bettered my sweep handicap of 14 once, been at my inconsistent best ...hardly any 2 pointers but loads of pars and blobs or 1 pointers

And my back went pre round last week all I did was open the boot

roll on the spring and summer

get out soon, just been busy as hell....couple of 9 holes to warm get into it again..

Played the London club at the end of summer, hardest course ever....high winds, carnage, more balls flying about than a pride after party..

Got out first week in January when I was back in the UK. Managed to play Sharpely and then Houghton for the first time. Nice course is that Houghton. Bloody freezing though and the wind up at Houghton

Now back home in the US, played about 10 times. I"m back to my normal good round, bad round routine and the way the course plays over winter here my handicap goes up 3/4 points so hopefully with spring and summer just around the corner I can shave a bit more off when that comes along and get back down to single digits.

As for trips, one to New York in March though maybe snow so might not get to play. Boston in June and Toronto in July, some good golf to be had in those two. Trip back to Blighty in August and the last trip of the year to Pinehurst in October.

Was a member at houghton...I got sick of the wind in the end like. Every second round was a hooly man.
