McGeady

Because when he gets the ball, the first thing he does is to check back inside and take time to assess what he can do (mainly "Can I get a shot for myself here?"), often when the passer has moved on an overlap for the 1-2. That slows everything down and lets the opposition get organised. It's obvious from the last few games that Parkinson wants is to play with one or two touches and keep the ball moving. McGeady can't or won't do that.
Spot on.

See I think that's nonsense. Hume gets exposed one on one as he's not particularly good defensively. Having the left sided Centre back helps him immeasurably. It gives him cover. If we went back to a flat back four Hume would struggle again.
I stand by my post but I also agree with that as another factor in his improvement

Also without leadbitter as well.
This league favours running over technique. Players make technical ricks all the time and to recover from a rick or to capitalise on an opponents rick you need to be running somewhere.
Cardinal error for defenders in this league is to give an attacker space to make an unhurried pass or shot because that's the only circumstance they'll do something good ( Maja was a brief exception to this rule getting off accurate shots while closely marked as was "golden age" Grigg who we've never seen play in the stripes - nice thinking Stew shame it didn't work out )

He didn't play against Gillingham, Blackpool or Bolton. He scored the last time he played. Ludicrous to suggest he's the reason we're playing better now
You just don't want to change your mind on him that's fair enough although your last sentence is in itself is ludicrous.

That simply does not happen every time for goodness sake.

Fair enough. Imo it's the major factor. The lad isn't great defensively.
He makes some cracking tackles here and there but sometimes he can be poor, he is only young and has a lot of filling out to do. I have think he could turn out to be a cracking wingback, the potential is there.
