McGeady

There's eyesight in it. We're keeping our shape better and we're not resorting to passing to the lazy twat that rarely passes back.
I don’t believe it’s entirely coincidental that our upturn in form has come at the same time as his removal from the squad.
And I’ve always quite liked him.

Christ why are folk even arguing this anymore? He's done something behind the scenes that has seen him frozen out completely from the first team and told he can leave. No-one will tell us why but he's been a twat at previous clubs before here so it's no real surprise he's been one here. That alone should be the end of the argument, the bloke is a twat.

That being said we were a better attacking team at the start of last season before he came back from injury and we are a better one now we've dropped him. Yes, I admit it isn't as simple as that but plenty of folk on here have said when he plays, he's frustrating as hell. It's not that he doesn't pass, it's that he waits and waits and waits and waits and waits and waits and waits and waits until he's absolutely certain that he can't take on the fullback (and winger he's also waited for to join in) before he does so. Forwards need to make two or three runs before he decides to cross and defenders get all the time in the world to get themselves organised. We've created little to fuck all time and time again when he does this. Gooch looks better without him, Maguire has looked better without him. Wyke, well he looks shite no matter what but he's missing a lot more chances created for him than he has with him.
He's out the team, out the squad and he isn't playing for us again even if he fails to find a new club.

A few of my mates noticed and spoke about it at the time like. Never particularly noticed it myself mind.
I know I've mentioned it previously but tried a little search to see if I could turn up anything from anyone else but couldn't really spot anything. Plenty have noticed McGeady leaving Hume high and dry time and time and time again though, whether that's failing to pass to him, mistiming passes to him, or failing to provide any cover for him. I've seen Hume make runs in behind and McGeady hold the ball so long that Hume had to stop and he passes it blindly behind the lad, only to then give the lad a load of abuse for a mistake that wasn't his.
Playing side, cloth heed. Engage your brain Christopher.
Playing side, he evidently has been a problem.

No he hasn't. He's an asset and clearly, for this level, a very good player.

And would still score as many and create as many as anyone else in the squad. At this level Aiden McGeady isn't and never will be a problem.
Mcgeady leaves Hume wide open, one of the reasons Hume has improved so much is because of gooch’s energy and effort to close people down.

See I think that's nonsense. Hume gets exposed one on one as he's not particularly good defensively. Having the left sided Centre back helps him immeasurably. It gives him cover. If we went back to a flat back four Hume would struggle again.
