O’Nien attracting interest from Championship London club

A well run club would take 4-5 million for O’Nien and run. Because they’d invest it incredibly well. Outside of the fact he’s an integral player in our team and I hope he stays, he’s a central midfielder playing RWB. We currently have two centre mids ahead of him, with hopefully another joining in Docherty. If we’d been planning well we’d already have a few options in that position that are possibly more natural. Again to reiterate, am a big fan of O’Nien, but that’s big money for a League One club.

Agreed. a well run club would have at least 2 replacements in mind for each player, there should also be replacements in mind for the manager

We are not a well run club

Not irreplaceable at this level. Would sell him if they had someone good lined up, said the same thing for Hume. The problem is they absolutely won’t.

Why be a total dick? The lad shared some info in the past that turned out to be true and he's doing the same again now.

He's probably felt the need to justify himself beforehand, as he's well aware the resident bell ends will jump on him for claiming to be ITK.
Tbf, that previous post about McGeady was posted about 3 days after after similar posts had been posted on here.
The folk who told him about it (he doesn't have a source, he said he'd heard from various people) presumably all heard it from here.

A well run club would keep their better players and be finding ways to offload pointless crap players / old men in the squad to make savings on wages and adding more good value signings with potential like ONien. If he proves his worth in the championship he could be worth double to a premier league side.

This is where we find out the true extent of SD’s ambition for the club.

I disagree about selling him for a profit, it would be a ludicrous decision to get rid.

We are in a good position to get out of this league and potentially inflate the price of the club way past the £4m quoted on O’Nien.

Fair enough mate, I wasn't aware of that bit haha!

this

I remember when people on here were saying £2.5m was an obscene amount of money for Maddison in this league, and now we’re saying we shouldn’t sell the dog with a balloon for £5m

absolutely mental. We should take their hand off before they realise he’s a bit meh

Who says he wants to leave? He's got a contract at a massive club and is part of a settled first XI that could potentially have a great run.

And I find the comments on here about how he could be easily replaced absolutely baffling. Have you not been paying attention the last 10 years?

The fee would likely be used to clean the pool at the academy and have the team bus serviced. We’d end up with another De Bock on loan at the eleventh hour

Need to keep this starting 11 fit and on the pitch.

It’d be a shame but if the moneys right then him and Hume can go, that’s the reality of where we are with this bullshitting owner.
