RAOS: Huddersfield in for Hume...

It is if you use that money to strengthen 3 positions....including left back.
Not when you’re weakening the very position you’re trying to fill. We won’t get a better full back than Hume with any portion of that money. He’s young, athletic, excellent at attacking for a full back, and improving at defending every game. Players like Reece James were the reason we were so static under Ross. No technical ability and no wit to overlap or underlap. We need to keep these players if we want to progress.

We do but SD won't give a fuck about us progressing now ! All about covering his pockets

I've posted they have put £3.5mill bid in. I haven't said it's happening. People need to read posts.

Fair do's.

They’ve just sent that Kongolo to Fulham to as well, he’s left footed defender so I believe what you’re saying. I would be disappointed if we let him go at this point though!

Sadly, I agree with our recruitment team. Other teams at our level, or in the championship, would utilise that kind of money really well and kick on.

Tbf his defending isn't great. Very comfortable in possession though and goes past people with ease
2 months ago a lot of posters on here were slating him which was harsh as he's just a young lad still learning
Now after the last few weeks of good performances a lot of posters are raving about him
The truth is, is that he's a young raw lad with obvious ability but equally has a lot of flaws but he definitely has something about him
Unfortunately on forums like this a big chunk of posters can't see reality if someone has a few bad games they are shite if the have a good spell then the same posters think that they are class

Donald said it in a podcast when he was explaining where the missing £10m went and Methven said the opposite in a liaison meeting I believe and was captured in a set of minutes.

Missing £10m?

So presumably this podcast will have been shortly after the last accounts came out?

Double that and I'd think about it if I was SD, he's not worth that obviously but he could be in the not too distant future, daft to let him go this window unless it's daft money, get us up and he'd probably rather stay anyway, just reward him with a lot better contract if we do go up.

How many 21 year old full-backs are there out there who are really solid defenders? Even the likes of Chilwell and Alexander-Arnold can be a bit iffy when it comes to actually defending. Players generally learn the art of defending with experience. Hume has pace, he's direct, can beat a man, get a cross in and apparently his finishing is decent (as we saw against Wycombe) - not a bad platform, the defending you can work on. Not saying he's going to be a Premier League player but Championship definitely IMO, £3.5m could end up being a bargain for a club like Huddersfield if he keeps progressing. We'd be stupid to sell but I can see Donald's eyes lighting up already if this is true, £3.5m into his pockets when he wants to sell the club anyway - it's a no brainer for him.
So will you say well done stewy if he keeps hume
