Beautiful books

Not your epics not even you big classics... just nice books.

The wife bought. The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse for the daughter who isn't having the best of times..

Just had a flick through and read a bit.
Transfixed . Stunningly beautiful.. amazing illustrations . Full of humour and wisdom

Any you could add to the list

Have a look at some of these:

Would love to do a one off SAFC book looking like this.

I read my daughter the book of Brothers Grimm Stories at bed time every night. They are magical, some of them are outright batshit too but that’s a plus, we’ll generally end up laughing like a drain at them!

The Hob Stories with illustrations by Patrick Benson.
Had them as a bairn and bought an anthology edition a couple of years ago. Absolutely wonderful - dark but it fires the imagination something chronic.

Also, you might be interested in The Mysteries of Harris Burdick.

The story goes that the author dropped a load of illustrations in to his publisher from a book he was working on and then mysteriously vanished, leaving only the illustrations with captions. It's fascinating.

i hear about this a lot, what exactly is the premise?

It's just a few sayings and a short story but beautifully illustrated and thought provoking.

In hardback and put together so it feels a little special.

Nothing mind blowing but just nice

Type of book a lass would give to another lass
