Coventry City Away

I now live in Barby, beside Rugby for past 5 years, go to Covs academy every odd Friday to play walking football

They invented walking football in the 70s against Bristol City
Why anyone would think that clubs in the midlands would "team up" for a football scrap.

If there is any trouble it will be the clubs involved.. Cov & Yourselves. Although Vile are at home to Sheff Utd the same day so could be lively round New Street.
We're at home to those nasty bastards .. Wigan.

Balti Brunchers vs Pie Eaters... could turn nasty in The Voine

Wasn't Hill's statue under threat of attack prior to the fixture last season..? IIRC Coventry fans were convinced that an SAFC demolition contingent was going to cause GBH to their idol....Just as well the match is in Brum...that scenario is unlikely to materialise this time...
Some pissed up Sunderland knacker hurled abuse at it like

Likely to move to the Sunday or even Tuesday has been mentioned. But..........if Villa beat Leicester in the second leg of the league cup (or whatever it's called) then they'll be at Wembley on the Sunday and our game will stay on the Satda.

Villa and Coventry have both played at home on the same Saturday several times this season.

Aye I know but because of last season our game is classed as high profile and with a canny few Sheffield going to Villa it's potential for problems hence ours possibly moving. But as I said, if Villa get to Wembley then they'll not be playing on the Satda anyway.

Any young ones thinking this is a walk in the park football or otherwise is misguided by this comment. Birmingham’s ground is at the arse end of nowhere and there’s no easy escape if you get caught. They bray people without thought and that’s the Birmingham fans. So you can be quite sure that Villa and probably West Brom will be kicking about too. Let alone Coventry (who we’re meant to be playing) will be all over it. My advice is keep ya head down and go with an escort.

It's one of the easiest grounds to get to and away from the city centre. Only about a ten minute walk.
Looking forward to this one, anywhere decent to drink near the ricoh?

The Greyhound.
