Coventry City Away

Any young ones thinking this is a walk in the park football or otherwise is misguided by this comment. Birmingham’s ground is at the arse end of nowhere and there’s no easy escape if you get caught. They bray people without thought and that’s the Birmingham fans. So you can be quite sure that Villa and probably West Brom will be kicking about too. Let alone Coventry (who we’re meant to be playing) will be all over it. My advice is keep ya head down and go with an escort.
aye if youre soft as shite and frightened to get out of bed you probably think lie this.

Train to New street, taxi to the ground, a few beers in the local bars, watch the match and walk back to New Street or hop on a bus back. thats the agenda. Anything else is a secondary thought. Thats not big and its not clever - thats a planned day out. what other are going to do is up to them, not me.

I see no reason to shit yourself over something that wont happen or if it does SAFC are more than capable of dealing with. It'll be nice to see Villa....

What a load of shit.

Exaggerated OP, but I’ve seen plenty of nasty stuff at Birmingham over the years. Coventry, Villa and WBA nowt really.
Why would Villa fans be kicking around St Andrews when they are playing at home themselves at the same time. Even little Billy Cridge isn't that daft man. As for the Baggies, they have no interest whatsoever in turning up for a Coventry v Sunderland game. Complete codswallop from someone who is trying to join dots that aren't there. Probably just looked on a map to see what other clubs are in the West Midlands, you never know we might even get some Stokies down for a bit of argy bargy while they're at it.

I was agreeing with you man

Birmingham City are a level above the rest though, absolutely no comparison. They have a reputation and most the time they try and act up to it.

You forgot wolves and Walsall fans being there too, and Solihull

You would expect most of them to be in London watching their team playing QPR though surely? With the numbers we are likely to be taking I can't see any bother for us really as long as you use your loaf.

Not shitting meself. I’ve been all over following the lads. Just warning young uns that it may not be a picnic.
What a load of shit.
Whatever

I skyved off school to get a lift with Reidy to go to Coventry for the cup replay after the 0-0 Speedy-Bennett draw at Roker. My mother went ballistic when I got back. Thought I’d get another bollocking at school next day. Form tutor asked what the score was. “5-0 sir. Gary Owers sent off”. “Serves you right. Sit down”
The "we came, we lost, we couldn't give a toss" game in the rain!

West Brom isn’t in Birmingham and we are quite friendly with them. @Boinger

Surely SAFC fans have as much chance of getting grief from BCFC fans as any other set of fans travelling through small heath? And even less so seeing as we're not actually playing Birmingham?

Blues fans are much more likely to be on the lookout for Coventry fans as there's long-running hatred between the two clubs, plus you've got the added factor of them sharing the ground.

Makes it even more surprising that they're sharing a ground. In any case it seems a few on here are making out like its a warzone when in reality there shouldn't be any major issues
