the Yanks, would be prepared to do business with people who are credible and who have a credible strategy.

SD fell into that category.

what the Yanks and private equity investors are not interested in is finding people to run organisations. They certainly don’t want to run them their selves., They invest in the team running the business as much as the business itself.

so yes they were very interested in him and they won’t be interested in the club without leaders... that’s a basic business fact.

Donald was saying they wanted to invest in him ...not that they wanted him to run their investment.
That's bullshit imo....and of course I'm aware they weren't expected to come over and to run the club personally.

An even more pointless statement than the one issued via Methven 😉 on Tuesday.....
Wish all this statement shit would stop. Preferred it 20 years ago without twitter and all that shite when you just heard about deals when they were done/almost done and everyone wasnt pretending to be a financial expert.
Exactly, it was much better when it was confirmed by Geoff Storey in the echo

Maybe I've misunderstood but I thought that was the entire point of RAWA, that it's a committee set up to represent the fans in communications with the club? The tagline on their logo is literally 'The Independent Voice for All Sunderland Supporters'.
Probably just an overenthusiastic yet innocent oversight on their part that they've included the word All there.

I see Nick Barnes is firmly in the Donald Out camp. Surprised by that. His type usually reserve judgement based on their cosy relations.

Don't know how credible he really is. Has talked too much and been amateur in his handling of players' contracts and mishandled relationship with the fans. The whole takeover nonsense seems to me to have foundered on someone at the club jumping the gun rather than anything else or they were never truly planning a takeover but club representatives wanted fans to believe a Dell takeover was possible to deflect from another sluggish season.

The following is a joint statement by A Love Supreme, Red & White Army, Roker Report and Wise Men Say in response to Stewart Donald’s public confirmation that Sunderland AFC is up for sale. THE STATEMENT READS: In our joint statement on the 27th December 2019, we explained it was our desire for the Sunderland … Continue reading JOINT STATEMENT RE: STEWART DONALD’S DECISION TO PLACE SUNDERLAND AFC UP FOR SALE →

Absolute drivel. Why produce that? Who do the hell do they think they are, some sort of revolutionary front?

Honestly, they're getting as bad as that shop shouting lot up the road. What next, a red and white Steve Wraith?

They got what they wanted, why not just shut the fuck up?

Absolutely pathetic. Up their own arses.

They do not represent us all.

Which the statement doesn't claim.. 🤔

Because the club put a statement out yesterday, did you think they would of left it alone without responding ?
