I think long term it's a no brainer that SD hasn't got the cash and would have to sell the club eventually so in that respect I shouldn't make a fuss really.

But given he's only been here 18 month which is no time at all given the state of the club when he arrived, I'd have given him this season minimum. I'm not disagreeing mind that I'd also want to see some genuine structural improvements in that time. But I think they would have. They stripped everything back to stop hemorrhaging cash and in time I think would have rebuilt.

But I'm extremely uncomfortable with how this has played out and I have to say I'm not impressed with our fans on this. But I'll leave it there as you are not allowed to say anything other than we are the most amazing fans in the land.

But we are where we are now so I'm hoping that it goes smoothly. If we end up with some mad Thai bloke with Dr No hands then I genuinely hope that the main protagonists are held to account in same way they apparently think that on my behalf they are empowered to hold Stewart Donald to account.

If he really wanted to stay, all he had to do was say ok give me the rest of the season and the Jan window and if you still want me out in May I’ll sell, I’d have been happy enough with that. If he was serious about doing something in the transfer window he’d have gone for that.

He didn’t though, just straight away said he would go, that sounds like someone who wants to jump ship at the first excuse, bit like ‘ol Charlie boy.

As a season ticket holder I was prepared to give him until the end of the season. I really don’t see the point in having the debate now but it’s too late to put the genie back in the bottle.

I don’t think fan unrest makes us a more attractive proposition to potential buyers. If a statement was needed it could surely have waited until February 1st.

Will it matter? If someone new takes over it won't be long before fans are against them. Cowie, Murray, Quinn, Short, Donald. That's 40 years of different owners. What makes anyone think another owner will do things better?

Trying your luck at a different table.

Or just before the european championships in some peoples case, who are happy to keep on keeping on, however considering donald had the club will be active in the window surely their is an opportunity for him in that regard, is it like making a noise around a sleeping baby, because you may upset them if you drop your cup of tea in the kitchen.

Mods just for some perspective ...how many members does RTG have ? 550ish responses is a good start and its early but we need much more!as some on here are equating our membership as knuckle dragging axe wielding judge Roy Bean or judge Jeffreys types.

You have to respect people's opinions, but you also have to respect the fact you may also be in minority with your opinion. Seems to be a recurring theme in society at the moment. I blame shouty mainstream social media for clouding some people's judgement on this one.

I'm waiting for the inventible banal response. 'The SMB doesn't represent the real supporters'.

I voted out. In Donalds ideal world he would have sold to the Yanks with him still running the show. Last few months has shown he isn't up to running a big club and he hasn't got the money to own one.

Out. If I was asked before the statements (from both sides) I would of seen how this window went, I would also have liked to see some question asked of Donald and based on the answers evaluated my opinion. Obviously it’s passed the point of no return now so there’s really only one answer

Aye a 66-34 vote is often classed as “close”.

Never said it was close.

Its this is post event which massively skews the data.

Think this would have been 50/50 if it had been done before the statement, at the least.

It wasn't, though, was it? And that's an unquantifiable suggestion, anyway. His statement has just confirmed his personality to people who already perceived as much and opened the eyes of some who didn't.
