Good luck trying to sell that mate. It looks crap.
The game or the cabinet? I'd wager it will hold its value far better than any of the modern games getting pumped out. And nostalgia. It is Star Wars so it'll have an audience.

Does it play any other Mame games ?
I doubt it, but I think most people will want that cab to recreate the arcade experience of their youth, you know? Looks like it has an unusual control scheme that might not emulate brilliantly in MAME, too.

Ok mate, it'll appeal to Star Wars collectors hopfully....good luck

It's not for me - I hate Star Wars! - but I think there will be people who'll fancy it. The lad will have to broaden out from here, like, maybe stick it on Facebook or Gumtree, something like that.

Yes you nailed it.
The unusual controller is a yoke controller replica from 1983 vintage. The game is possibly the best from that era being a vector product from Atari. The fun thing is the cab and game are officially licensed from Atari, replicatkng 3/4 scale the original. Brilliant!

Regarding mame, it's encoded to play only 3 games - star wars with a different emulator; star wars, empire strikes back and return of the Jedi (a raster game). So it isn't a mame machine.

Btw original cabs go for £5-10k depending on sit down or stand up version..then they break..

Look up arcade1up..

Class game that mind, though I preferred the sit down cabinet with the booming speakers all around you "USE THE FORCE LUKE!" Was f***ing brilliant.

Return of the Jedi was a class game as well.

I remember the sit down star wars cab - sure they had it at pier amusements in shields - used to go there to play streetfighter 2 and play laser quest.

Yeah, they deffo had the proper sit down version in Shields. I used to play it all the time. Most people updated it to the later games too (empire or rotj, I can't remember which it was)
