Needing to get some new running shoes. Any recommendations for best places to visit to buy them? Been to start fitness in Newcastle in the past...

Start fitness for me
Sub 20 5k
Sub 1:45 half marathon
Complete at least 3 ultra marathons - main one..
If you can do a 20 minute 5km, you should be aiming for well under 1:45
 
Go for a run.

Been in Australia for 3 weeks visiting my in laws and never done a single run. Its just too bloody hot.

46 today at 10am, my sister n law goes out at midnight in their summer. Stuff that I am on holiday.

On a serious note, under 45 for 10k and 22.30 for parkrun.

Doing the chevy chase again so may throw in more fell runs

Aye, you just wanted to beat Fletch to start the 2020 thread tho, admit it! Ha. Just want to try and get rid of this chronic groin problem but still be able to chase pbs and do plenty off road races, be it fell or trail.

I started last years on nye, I checked :lol:

Best thing to do with a groin is rest?
 
Tried all sorts mate, anyway just managing it at moment with stretches, exercises etc keep trying different things till it heals or pops but as you get older its just another niggle!
 
Signed up for the Kielder Winter 10 this Saturday 4th Jan. A lad from work is going and asked if I fancied it - last year had 170 runners and 1:20 got 37th place, that's around the time I am going for depending on the course.

was thinking about the night time 10k but I've been sick all week. Got til 2nd Jan to decide though, so if I start to come around I might have a crack.
