Typical Geordie bitterness. The programme editors and organisers should be on the dole in the morning. One of numerous slights against the club, city and the people of Sunderland. But once again they'll be no public outcry, no response from the club or council or the fans. We need to start teaching these hideous jealous tossers their behaviour is not acceptable. Would like to start by everyone on this board to make a formal complaint to Look North and if needs be take their behaviour and favouritism of their own to the broadcasting ombudsman and start dealing with this in the correct manner.

My dad is getting on a bit and is struggling, I told him that Billy had died and he just said "Ah, Billy Hughes". I got some sand in my eye.

My first few years at Roker was watching him, Halom and Kerr, plus others, but they were the three that captured my interest the most. Really sad day but the reality is they're all getting to that time in life where there's a few more sad days ahead I'm afraid. Still, they've left us some cracking memories to savour. RIP Billy.
