Hi mate I've got some really dirty info on you marra - keep on trolling me and I will post it on here. Do you want to gamble? 1 = yes 2 = no
The choice is yours mr mows.

Yes please. My life is boring so hopefully it's something really exciting that I've just forgotten about.

I've reported you for trolling and for being threatening anarl.

Conspiracies these days are mostly believed by people who think they know more about something because they watch YouTube videos and read rubbish online than the people who actually were involved in said event.
Let's be totally logical and honest.
Most people rely on snippets of info from all kinds of sources to gain an insight into whatever is the order of the time.
Most people will simply accept those stories as a truth without even knowing if they are a truth.
A so called conspiracy theorist is a person who can start off wondering if a particular story is valid. Finding out whether it's valid or not is the hard part.
But.....
Who knows the truth if they are not physically there to know the truth?
We can all accept we're told a lot of lies in life and especially by mainstream media.
If something seems odd or doesn't appear to ring true or observe logic, isn't it sensible to at least question it?

Usually this is down to insecurity and ego. Some people can’t comprehend some things as they are complex, so they choose to ignore or attack it.
It may be down to insecurity and ego with some but doesn't that apply to those who simply believe anything told by authority/ so called experts, as well?
If one person says to another " ahhh, I'm not too sure that story is wholly truthful, it just seems to appear contrived."
And the other person shouts, " you nutter, get your tinfoil hat on, of course it's all true. It's in the papers and on TV."
Does that make the first egotistical?
Does it make the first, insecure?
Does it make the second egotistical?
Does it make the second secure in their supposed knowledge?

each to their own in my eyes, but keep it to yourself.
So basically each to their own but only say something if it comes from mainstream sources and follow that....but each to their own but keep it to yourself if you think you could be being lied to or manipulated, etc?

We'd be in one hell of s state if everyone just accepted anything as a truth. We'd be ripe for the picking...much worse than we are now.

It’s always the same argument and it’s rubbish. You all seem to think that people who believe in a majority only do it because they are told by ‘mainstream media’ and have no experience or knowledge of their own.
Not everybody just gets their info from tv or the papers. And that’s no worse a source than where conspiracy theorists get their ‘information’.

All you have done is come up with hypotheticals to bolster your argument, and that’s why I said, keep it to yourself.

More and more people are realising that it's profitable to spin bullshit for morons.

David Icke really set the ball rolling, the damn genius.
Or people are starting to see that most of what we’re told is absolute bullshit and that we’re manipulated and brainwashed by a capitalist regime that wants to keep your average joe firmly in the dark.

It’s about time everyone started to question everything. It’s the only way change will happen.

Evolution, mate.

Superstition has even been recorded in pigeons:

Pigeons Can Be Superstitious — And A Psychologist Once Proved It

Looking for patterns that assist our survival, such as finding food or water in the same place more than once without having an explanation for why it might be in the same place more than once but using it to help find food and water in the future, has helped us evolve this far, but now we're at a point where we're even able to take a step back and observe those patterns for whether or not they're actually rational. Some of them are, some very much aren't. Still we seek the patterns, though.

Conspiracy theories are just an extension of those superstitions, that desire to find patterns where sometimes there are reasons for them and sometimes it's just coincidence.
That completely ignores choice, we all have the choice to use our rational mind or in the case of conspiracies our instinct, certain people who either are quite spiteful and nasty obviously don't want to see themselves for what they are, so they seek anything they can that will ease their conscience, this happens in lots of aspects of morality these days.

Are there people out there who really believe that everything is as it appears, that governments and authorities always tell the truth, that there are things being created/implemented/designed that the public do not know about (and that are actively being kept secret), that the super rich do not hold sway over the direction of the world for better or for worse.........

The thing is there's a massive space somewhere in the middle between that and being a 'conspiracy theorist'.

Quite a lot of conspiracy theorists are mentally ill imho, as some of you may know I'm a member of a conspiracy theory network. Every single day they pump out conspiracy after conspiracy and a lot of them are completely bizarre and no sane person would believe the crap they are saying it really is cloud coo-coo land.
There are others who are very intelligent and put their point across in a sensible way and present evidence to back up their claims, its these ones that make me think twice about what is reported in the media but there is never any concrete evidence its all just circumstantial however in some cases the amount of circumstantial evidence is overwhelming.
Its a well known fact the governments create false flags and this cant be disputed, if they didn't there wouldn't be any need for conspiracy theorists to exist. If you want to know more about this just do some research on the history of conspiracy theories and what a conspiracy theory actually is and why the term was first created and by who. Because of that everything that is reported in the media should be scrutinised as if the government did create a false flag event it would make them themselves terrorists and the public going along with it could be classed as inadvertently supporting terrorism.
Elvis is still alive I saw him a few weeks ago and I know others did too, there is no disputing it I even have photographic evidence to back up my claims ;)

Absolutely tons of people like that.

If many parts to a story do not add up to appearing wholly truthful then people will question them.
By questioning official lines, any person becomes a conspiracy nut, just like that. And as simple as that.
If the conspiracy theorist argues many different points to a sold story of apparent fact, they become the enemy of the masses who buy into the story as a fact on blind faith or adherence to mass opinion..

99% of ordinary people who have a pop at conspiracy theories, calling them nonsense, are doing so because they're simply following a narrative and find it much easier to simply accept and follow the mass opinion on something, which generally gives them a stance among peers as being the sensible/intelligent people among the so called unintelligent tin foil hat questioners of stories that at best can potentially read as a lot of fiction but are argued as pure 100% fact.

The more a person argues against official lines with good arguments, that person becomes more disliked. More prone to abuse. More attacked by the masses.
In the end the very same people who do bring up good questions against official narratives...they're set apart as someone who thinks they're smarter than everyone else.

This is not the truth, it's just different ways of trying to attack the person so they don't get a foothold into people's minds and actually make them think " hmmm, that makes sense."

The reality (for now) is, most people aren't interested in questioning official lines, unless it directly affects them.
As for so called achievements and such like, sold to us....with some people not buying into it......it's immediate bile and hatred in the extremities to mere regular digs and name calling on a regular basis to keep the questioner from questioning.

The saying is very simple.
"Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."
I'm guessing you pulled that 'stat' out of your arse. But just in case you didn't: can you kindly provide a linkie to whichever study concluded this.
As an instance, I could say to you, "ahhh I don't think the moon landings were real" You could immediately turn round to me and shout " you cruel git, you know people perished in rockets trying to aid in preparing for those landings...did they die for nothing then?"
You see, you can kill an argument by using this (not saying you would...just using examples) and you would likely gain the backing of many people who would quickly become more vocal and maybe violent towards someone questioning something like that.

It's one of the reasons why I will never debate with anyone who brings up emotion in order to argue something...for two very good reasons.....one being exactly what I've just explained.
The other being, it's an argument based on acceptance of emotional stories told as facts and believed as facts but argued without genuinely knowing the true facts.

Basically a massive reliance on official lines of history books and Chinese whispers of sorts.
"You cruel git, how dare you say there was no alien spaceship hiding behind the Hale-Bopp comet! You know 39 people perished trying to hitch a lift ... did they die for nothing then?" - said no-one ever.

I very much doubt there are many people who believe that government and authorities always tell the truth but that's hardly a conspiracy theory anyway, is it?

I also doubt many believe that there are things being created / implemented / designed that the public do not know about. This happens in business and industry all the time. It's why we have things like Research & Development, patents, etc. If you are developing something that will give you an advantage (whether that is a commercial market right through to warfare) then you are hardly going to go around sharing the details.

Of course the super rich hold sway (or influence) over the direction of the world. This could be fairly obvious e.g. Rupert Murdoch, or it might be less visible but it isn't anything new or in itself, malicious. It's how power and influence work.

Your average person comprehends all this to some degree.

Given your experience, do you think some conspiracy theories get started by Governments to mislead, or is that a theory all of its own ?

That's precisely what a conspiracy theory is and why the phrase was coined in the first place. Its now used to discredit people who question the official narrative usually when it comes to terror events or big news stories.

Trouble is, its easy to label something a conspiracy theory - there's that many, some must be true, even if its 1 in a million

That's why I said most people.
