I don't think 36 days is an unreasonable amount of time to have evaluated his players, other staff, facilities etc. and make any changes he sees fit.
He can't possibly do that overnight or even in a week.
Aye thought it wasnt long ive just changed my y fronts for the first time since he arrived

Anything said as to why grigg is ‘shot to bits’ and what they’re doing to try and address it? As far as I’m aware he’s never been booed and whenever he’s subbed he’s given an ovation when leaving the pitch.

Maybe resign Lee Camp so Grigg and Wyke can get used to scoring in training and get the confidence back. However don't let Camp anywhere near the match day squad

Having filled in matchday finance sheets for Alnwick Town that was enough of a ball ache for a couple of hundred folk never mind thousands

Because you were, in all probability, doing it manually, using nothing more than a calculator. The club's systems already know how many season tickets are in issue. It's then just a matter of identifying those who got the match added (as had to be done for Lincoln), which, again, should be readily available. Then simply multiplying that number by the match ticket price. It shouldn't take all that long.

I spoke to a player (not saying which level) from the club recently and he had nothing but good things to say about Power and O'Nien, saying they're always first in and last to leave, in the gym before training, always make time for the players in the junior teams etc. He named two that aren't like this nor keep themselves in shape.

You could probably add Dobson to Power and O'Nien. I was told at Rochdale that the youth teams were glad he'd come as it meant that one of them no longer had to stay back to help Luke with his extra training, because George was now doing it.

It’s been obvious for quite sometime that fitness levels have been low. It’s either been the approach taken by the coaches or it’s the individual players attitude. If it is the latter then it’s disgraceful and Ross should have done something about it. No the wonder they were upset at his departure from the ‘holiday camp’. This seems to have been the trend even prior to Ross. So much for CM’s comment...”the piss taking stops here”.

It's been stated by PP that we're obviously needing players, with pace and power (as well as a bit of skill, heart, desire, and professional pride)

I'd also say, we should be replacing Hill and Coton, and put together a better recruitment team, so we can buy new players, who'll hit the ground running, when they sign for us, instead of hitting the treatment table, like Wyke, Grigg, and De Bock.

IF we do get players, with pace and power, in January, who the fuck, is going to buy the useless knackers, who'll be surplus to requirements, here ?

It would definitely help, if the crosses actually reached one of our players, instead of sailing straight into the crowd, behind the goal.
A fair few of them will be out of contact in the Summer.

I don't think anyone has responded to explain what is meant by a budget here?

If Sunderland earn 10 million a season from season tickets and commercial revenue etc then we will have a budget of 10 million. The club then needs to spend money on actually running the things, like stewards at the SoL, the coaches at the AoL. The players current salaries.

We are then left with whatever amount at the end of spending on running costs with profit.

So Charlie is most likely correct in that our budget will be up there in the top half of the Championship.

A club's budget is not identical to the amount of money available to use in a transfer window, but you'd hope a big budget will have a decent bit of money left over to allow money to be used in a transfer window.

You'd also hope that the amount of our budget we are currently paying players wages is being used effectively.

Donald and Methvan should realistically move away from using the term 'budget' due to how many people misunderstand what is being said.

The problem is that, in football, people see the word budget and subliminally insert the word transfer in front of it. However, Donald, in particular, uses it in a strict accounting sense, so playing budget means all player/football management expenditure of any kind.
