Post Scunny press interview

ive not seen grant in front of the camera before so not sure if thats his manner normally, but does anyone else think somethings gone on in the squad? he looks extremely agitated rather than dissapointed

all this sticking together stuff doesnt bode well

It does seem as if there’s quite an open discord that they are publicly trying to address with these comments, whilst hoping the details aren’t leaked. Perhaps something has happened after the game.

did he comment on the absolute apathy on display from our players, particularly for their goals, woefully off the pace of the game.

it suggests to me things have happened after the game but also in the last week or so

Parkinson, IMO, wasn’t the right appointment. I think I and many others made our views fairly clear on that from before we even appointed him.

However he isn’t to blame for what’s going on and there’s zero point in hammering him for comments he makes. He has been fairly open and honest about performances and results so far in his time here.

Supporters ire should be aimed elsewhere

He appeared shell-shocked. In his last interview, he was almost biting back at the interviewer, but he looked shot in this one.

i think the dressing room is split, and there are big issues

you could tell when ross would get interviewed and talking about certain players attitudes and i always sensed an underlying tone.

i think weve shipped out a load of expensive piss takers and drafted in at least a handful of inexpensive ones

the rut has begun

Players and the hierarchy take the brunt of it for me, but when giving a manager a contract especially for two and a half years there should be certain safeguards in place at this level, if we are in the bottom half of the table after say 10 games you forfeit your contract to be paid up for instance, don't think you can do the job then don't take it just for the payout when you fail, being turned down by Stendel and Ainsworth would mean they knew something was up possibly? Owners or players not up for it like they should be possibly but who knows, I just know that the piss taking party never really stopped did it.

The piss taking party comment was all part of the PR. It was used to make the supporters think they’d done a brilliant job of shifting supposed bad eggs out later down the line.

I hope when we have new owners in the future, hopefully not too distant, we treat what they say with healthy scepticism and not go along with anyone just because they’ve shown an interest in us

We have at least 4 first team players at the moment currently out of shape and disinterested. Given how much our owners love Maguire from his Oxford days, I wonder if they feel he is taking the piss?

I think its unfair to slaughter parkinson here. Its not his fault, hes been thrown into a club in turmoil and is expected to hit the ground running, under pressure. I could've seen the logic of appointing him at the start of last season. Hes on a hiding to nothing here in the current circumstances and i think most fans know that deep down. I can only see the criticism being aimed at the owners. Hopefully they decide to sell up asap.
We were getting better results before he got here. But it is too early to blame him.

Hill and Coton are primarily the ones I blame, like Short before him SD has entrusted the future of the club with people not up to the job, so ultimately he is to blame but what will he do about it? the first money of the American investment I would spend is giving these two their P45's.

That’s not going to happen, it’s going to be them spending it.

He's became what I suspect he was like at Bury, didn't take long did it and this is why he's never amounted to much in the grand scheme of things.
