Never tried them with a full English.
Not recommended mate. Mrs D is still, after 44 years trying to get me to eat something in the morning. Today it was almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pistachios and walnuts. I’m not convinced there is such a thing as reincarnation, but if there is I hope I don’t come back as a squirrel.
Weird innit?
I guess it’s just your wit, charm, and devilish good looks mate. It’s a cross some of us have to bear.
It wouldn't be so bad....

If we were playing well and flying in the league....
True enough.

Morning Sis. I was going to PM you this, but someone else may find it of interest.
we flew from Newcastle to Kraków with jet two. £ 280 return for two of us. We stayed in the Maly apartments. £140 total for three nights. It’s about ten mins walk from the main square, basic but warm and clean, which is good enough if all you’re doing is sleeping there. We arrived on Friday night at around six. Taxi to the hotel was about £20. We got chatting to the driver who arranged our trips to the salt mines and Auschwitz so that worked out well for us. Friday night we had a mooch around the square which is stunning. The food was very good and the beer also excellent and quite cheap. Between 2 or 3 quid a pint. Saturday we walked up to the castle which is well worth a visit. After that we took a boat trip on the river Vistula. Sunday it was absolutely stotting down so we decided to visit the salt mines which are about 45 mins away. The tour and tickets were arranged by our tame taxi driver, it worked out at about £30 each which covered everything including a visit to Oscar Schindlers factory and the ghetto / Jewish quarter on the way home. The salt mine is amazing and has to be visited if you are there. Yesterday we checked out of the hotel and our driver took us to Auschwitz and Birkenau, then back to the airport for our flight home. All in all it was a fantastic few days and we will be going back. Just not to Auschwitz. It was a worthwhile experience and something I feel we should all do at some point in our lives. But it troubles me deeply. I’ll be ok in a day or two, don’t let that put you off though, it’s well worth going.

You packed a lot into a short space of time marra, before I met my Polish mate 11 yrs ago I wouldn't have dreamt of going to Poland. Kris and Paula have shown us the lake district, taken us down south to the mountains and right up north to the Baltic sea beaches, it's a beautiful country and the people are awesome. I would totally agree with you that Auschwitz is truly eye opening, and very emotional , it opens your eyes and heart as to what occurred there all those years ago...

Sounds like a great trip.

Did you find the Banialuca (bar)?

We stayed here which was 5 mins off the main square and it was lovely.

Booked our trips beforehand via Tours and travels to Poland - Packages tours with hotels and airport transfers in Poland who were very good.

That’s very true mate. It’s a testament to the resilience of the people how they’ve recovered from the war, then communist occupation and are now moving forward. I like people they are what makes a country what it is. Polish people should be proud of what they have accomplished in such a relatively short space of time.
Good luck, what's a job? 😉

We were kind of winging it mate. It was a trip arranged by Mrs D for our birthdays. We’ve both travelled quite a bit so its not unusual for her to book a couple of flights and somewhere to sleep then just “see what happens when we get there”

Not a bad plan.

So, Banialuca Bar?

If you didn't find it you have it to look forward too next time 🍻
