Sterling & Gomez Bust Up

Sorry mate but there is no way that Hudson Odoi or the Ox are suitable replacements for Sterling.

I don't know mind Hudson Odoi is quite a good player, at the moment and could go on to better, and given who we are playing againist maybe its best to Save Sterling. Southgate's decision really.

And what if it leaks out to the press, Southgate and the team discussed it and decided to send Sterling home. Great management of a tricky situation.

Hard to judge without knowing what actually happened. Why not punish them both for bringing club issues into international football? It wouldn't be great management if this spirals (footballers are divas) out of control and Sterling refuses to play for England again.

Another report states that Gomez was continuing to wind Sterling up following yesterday’s game, where they had to be pulled apart at the end of the game too.
Which report?
John Cross in the mirror "Manchester City star Sterling is understood to have tried to provoke a reaction from Gomez and witnesses said they heard him ask the Liverpool defender whether he was “still the big man.”

I believe the statement, why would they lie? The whole team made the decision, they were there you weren’t.

I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt, it sounds like handbags really, and raised tempers after yesterday.

If Stirling did refuse to play, then fine , tell him to fuck off . No matter how good a player is , you can’t let him dictate and get his own way or the team suffers.
I don’t think for one second that Stirling will react in this way however.

probably was something like Gomez was winding him up and Sterling would have rightly said pipe down, you're too shite to even get in the team (or stronger version thereof)

Imagine dropping a player of Sterling’s quality    Just as England looked on the verge of having a really good young team this happens, couldn’t make it up really.

A player who probably needs an arm around the shoulder after his prides taken a kicking instead has been alienated in a public way for the media and social media platforms to jump all over him. Not only that but apparently the manager didn't have the balls to make the decision and instead it was decided by losing a democratic vote in the changing room. Everest out of a mole hill for me.
Really cant see how its class management. Old Arsenal and Man United dressing rooms fights were a regular thing weren't they, pull them aside and give them a bollocking then shake hands and crack on.

The media reports coming out back up Southgate decision, Sterling was to blame.

You have absolutely no idea what was said or done by Sterling, how can you claim it's Everest out of a mole hill based on nothing?

It is hard to know what actually happened without the details but if the theory is right that Gomez was trying to wind up Sterling before getting a reaction he should be dropped also for a lack of respect.
