Is anyone seriously worried about cup games?

I want us out the EFL and the FA Cup also and focus on league games.

From 3 league games, and I don't count the Wycombe game as Parkinson had only been appointed on the Thursday, we've had 2 clean sheets and 2 wins and were very unlucky v Shrewsbury.

If we'd progressed in the EFL cup and also won today this place would be inundated with people complaining about a fixture pile up.

The attendance today should be a rocket to the owners. There is way more than 8000 Sunderland supporters who would usually attend a Saturday afternoon match.

They gave people an excuse to miss it with the crap ticketing arrangements. If by any chance we have a second round home tie I think it will be even lower if people can’t go online and book their seat.
 
I’ve been slightly encouraged by PP. He’s not a fantastic coach by any stretch but he’s at least talking about some of the right stuff - wanting more pressing, more energy, improving number of chances created etc.

The problems at Safc run far deeper than that though. It’s about a bloated but poor squad having been assembled without any real plan and an ethos that has been way behind the times since Donald arrived. Made me laugh the article this week when methven made mention of his recent interest in that newfangled xG measure that seems to be catching on. Aye nice one galaxy brain.

This season is pretty much a write off I reckon. This summer most of the squad are going to move on - and it can’t come too soon. What we need now from the club is some serious thought about how to build a club on strong foundations and a credible plan to identify young players with pace to put into a modern team framework to both get us promoted and get our players noticed by teams further up the pyramid. I have virtually no faith that the current incumbents can deliver on that.

They got gifted the golden goose of a huge stadium, academy, ex premier outfit and got eyes bigger than their belly.

They've bought a fucked aston martin at a knock down price, let their mate down the pub whose 'handy' service the fucker, then realised they can't afford the petrol for it. It's currently up on bricks with 'cock piss partridge' sprayed down its side.

Mostly Transfer dealings, but as I said, there's nowt they can do till the next transfer window to make ammends for that!

Possibly correct, but to a lot of 'Supporters' at present, nothing they say would satisfy them. They're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

It's just shit man. The whole club is fucked. From the academy to the SoL, poorly manned and maintained. I don't doubt the intention of the owners and I am very grateful for them saving us from oblivion, but they are in way over their heads. If people are actually happy with what is happening then surely this acceptance is what's wrong with the club. We should never accept this failure at our beautiful club
