expensive on the beer nowadays mate is Amsterdam, unless your heart is set on it I’d look elsewhere.

Was there in May for a stag and didn't think it was that bad. Certain bars in the red light district were pretty cheap, suppose what your used to paying in England is a factor though. Most cities in England now it is £4/5 a pint for anything half decent.

Exactly. I can make friends with or have a pint anyone but it's forced fun at the end of the day. Like owt organised by work.

I just refuse to do any activities nowadays. On a recent stag trip to Porto nearly every minute of the weekend was planned. There was surfing lessons which I fucked off and got pissed in a beach bar.

Stag dos are mint when nowt is organised.

Quite difficult to get into bars when you turn up as a group of 20 though.

Anyone ever been to stag do in St Andrew's? Been invited to my cousins one in the middle of February ! Sounds grim so trying to get out of it, doesn't help I know non of his mates.

Depends on the company your cousin keeps like but I've been on a couple where I didn't know many of the other people going and I've enjoyed them. I'd rather be on a stag do where I don't know many people than a wedding where I don't know many.

Although money to go places hasn’t been a big issue for me - I’ve worked with lots of younger colleagues who haven’t been able to go because of cost. Stag and hen dos going abroad are common. Feel sorry for those who can’t go or spend a lot and enjoy it.

This is it. Most of my mates live in a place where they ended up to as we all grew up in a shit town so none have stayed. This meaning their new mates come with the north east half and you don’t know any of them. It always seems like they want some organised fun when you get there. I’ve just packed in doing it now. ‘Let’s go on a walk around the city’ erm nah.

I’ve went around with same group of lads in town since we were teens , few new faces over those years but the core has remained . Love it when we have weekends away , apart from the FEAR when you get home what’s not to like ?

The best parts of the last stag do i was on was going for a few drinks on our own before meeting the rest of the group.

It was easy to work out which group was ours because they were all wearing the same clays: blue jeans, Fred Perry polo, Gazelles.
