6 games 4 defeats

I am always keen to give a manager time, however this is going worse than I expected.

Mind, whoever comes in with the complete lack of footballing intelligence in building a squad will find it extremely difficult.

I don’t think it’s nonsense at all. Parkinson has experience at this level and we aren’t relying on the goalkeeper bailing us out every game. How many proper saves has our goalkeeper(s) had to make in the 4 league games under Parkinson ? Under Ross we seemed to constantly concede chances, suggesting writing was on the wall.

Are you related to him? The two teams we have beaten are the worst rwo in the league. I imagine Mr Ross may have managed wins against Tranmere and Southend ffs.

Is anybody really bothered about tonight

Annoyed. Not bothered that we may get knocked out, that's fine, but when there seems to be no pride in wearing the shirt, and losing to kids rather abjectly - that's a big problem. No heart from the players, and an inability to get a response from the manager. On top of that, the owners will have wanted a result for the financials, which I care less about, but it goes to show we weren't sodding off the tournament. We just failed, badly.

Tonight is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. In the league games we have stopped conceding so many chances, and played with a tempo against Tranmere and Shrewsbury which was reminiscent of a promotion side. Southend was disappointing but we didn’t concede too many chances at all. I think Parkinson will get us up. Peterborough losing tonight is a more significant result than our loss to Leicester.

Peterborough are 3rd. We’re 8 points off the top 2

Thought the one thing about being in this shit league would be that the players would appreciate playing here and work their bollocks off every week. Clearly not the case

Oh no we.musnt.complain heaven forbid it.could effect the team ....f***ing arse
Complaining and having constructive criticism is totally different.
Currently we simply don't have the calibre of players to win games easy.
The club was on the verge of extinction before Short paid the debt off.
It's going to take time. I've waited 45 years so another season or two won't hurt.

Hasn't done much to lift the mood has he really
It won't be long till Charlie's out to lift our spirits and his raise the roof on boxing day rallying call.
We are slowly establishing ourselves as an average lower league club
I hear you and yes it is alarming and provokes knee jerk reactions but come on, give him till Christmas. He’s what we have (not my choice) just give him some time before you organise a lynch mob.

Not bothered about the cups but their has been no bounce and no inspiration.
He will be given the January window but if things don’t improve dramatically then fans will turn, this time it may well be on Donald et al alongside Parkinson.

An uninspiring appointment which laid the foundations for zero ambition.

Summer up earlier in this thread.

Parkinson was uninspiring. Not just for us. But the players as well.

Do the players look disinterested? Guess who's job it is to motivate them.

Manager not performing? Who appointed him.

In reality what we saw last night and in the next 2 cup games as we saw at Oxford will be experiments for PP. This ‘cup break’ is kind of his pre season. The results are absolutely irrelevant. Indeed, better in the long run to be out of all the cups. What I hope is that PP through these experiments in meaningless games does 2 things.
1: Get his 1st team preference sorted and clear in is head.
2: Get his buy and sell list ready and start working on it.
Then get back to winning in the league.
