Save Seaburn

It’s not Canary Wharf because it’s an old seaside resort in an economically deprived area. I’m not convinced about the future of all of the enterprises but you didn’t mention Strollers or The Hideout which seem to be doing ok, Gabbies and the Shagorika must have both been there nearly 40 years, The Promenade is busy most nights, Elite Hotel wanting to add rooms and investment in the leisure club, beach huts, etc. It’s not all a success but I wish the best of luck to those that keep trying and fuckers like you being negative and revelling in the failure of fledgling businesses should fuck off.
Away man I lived there for 14 year. My son lives there and the rest of my family use the land behind jets now and again
I wish you fuckers would stop saying YOU have the beach. It’s a coastal city mate and takes max 6/7 minutes to get to the beach from anywhere within the city. Not once did I mention anything untoward to business down there. Owning a business myself in the city I know how hard it is to get on.

Might give it a shot next week. I like a seafood taco. I didn’t realise that big building next to the bay is gonna be a house. Some size that.
Aye, it’s a strange one as well. They didn’t (weren’t allowed?) to demolish it completely. It’s going to be very impressive when it’s finished, O’Briens have been trying to buy up all that stretch I think.

I do like how people moan and twist about Seaburn and Roker however its always a go to place for most people on a nice day or weekend. For me its changed and will continue to change over the years but most of it is positive. We have just been given the go ahead for our unit as part of The Stack and we are very excited and cant wait to get started

Is that who it is O’Briens? I was told it was the lad who owns one of the funeral directors.

Think you might be right actually. I know O’Briens bought the two that had planning permission refused for demolishing and replacing with four town houses. They were meant to be knocking on doors asking people how much they wanted for their houses.

It’s looking like it will be class when it’s done. Wish I could live there.
You not on the front gala mate?

Ooof, that’ll cost a few bob just to buy them up, hopefully it starts a trend like in darras hall. Be nice to see all new houses along that stretch.

Soon hopefully, the lass on the shine row site is going to be running the sales office... might be worth giving her a bell for some more info. Hope they are reasonably priced and not daft prices like lord lambtons estate!
Aye been looking at prices at other Miller sites. Going to get a bit of a premium being by the sea. But hopefully not too far off other developments. Going to go up to potters hill and have a look at The Jura they've got there anyway.

Eeeeeeee give owa man. The paradise garden has been replaced by yet another chip shop. The new Buddha restaurant as changed hands already. The pub and hotel you lost is only being replaced. It’s hardly Canary Wharf.

Bit of a weird thing to say this tbh. Is Canary Wharf the pinnacle of what any place can be?

£350-400k plus
Anyone know when Miller are planning on having a show home up?
Went to the Hebburn development last weekend to view 2 properties that are going to be on Seaburn. f***ing tiny for the money they'll be asking. Apparently there's a 'lot' of interest in Seaburn, but I expect a fair bit will cool when folk see what they're getting for their money, unfortunately.

Was one of them the Esk? What was the other one. Potters hill has a couple then I'll need to head up to near the airport for the other one I'd want to see.
