Significant investment by FPP has been made

If American investors are not taking shares for investment. Is this just a loan against stadium and academy as collateral ? Seems a bit murky

I thought the investment was into Madrox Partners whose main asset is the shares in the club, so not sure about your statement re collateral.

Not everyone. Why did Bain and Short not try to cut costs?

However he managed it, SD freed the club from a huge amount of toxic commitments. He's not here to bankroll us. I agree that SD has made some crap decisions on the footballing side of things like the academy and recruitment but credit where it's due.
Bain did cut costs and got called for it, but your forgetting we was in championship and dropping like a stone, short cut costs and paid over £100mil in debts to help the club have a chance to come back up, so you admit he made some crap decisions on 1: football, 2: academy 3: recruitment. Not very important stuff to a football club? So he basically got rid of toxic players which most new owners would of done but messed 3 other important things up.

I don't trust these types of guys for a second. All they care about is money. and they will happily ruin the lives of hardworking folks to make an extra dollar. It's the American way! If they came in throwing money at anything else around the city, I'd be very worried. The good news here is that the only way the club's valuation goes up is if we start winning and working back up the league. While that part might not happen considering the club always finds a way to make things difficult, I don't see how the cash influx could backfire in a way that could put us on the Bury/Bolton track.

I think you're forgetting the position we are in?

I’m glad somethings came othis, but unfortunately all the hype over the last few months etc, it kind of falls flat. Hopefully the relationship grows and it blossoms after a few years, but this will only happen if the shower of shite on the pitch start to perform, which for me is depressingly unlikely. The reality is we’ve gone from being taken over to be the richest club in world football to having a relatively small amount invested that would buy you two Will Griggs.
I understand the money won’t be for players.... but surely another few seasons of this dross will see that money spent, probably no return for the investors, and a parting of ways. I wish they’d taken a controlling stake in the club

How mate?

Well it's a loan, so the worst they'd get is the loan repaid. The only way they could lose money would be if we were so badly ran that we went bust, but they've obviously done detailed due diligence so they can be as certain as can be that bankruptcy won't be an issue! So the worst they get is their money back (with interest), whereas had they become shareholders and we failed to go up the value of the club could drop, meaning they might end up getting less back than they put in. It makes sense from a risk minimisation perspective

Disappointed Donald isn't leaving. I haven't been impressed and I see a lot of his decisions as being suspect. But this is good news.
That's the only downside. If anyone can mess it up it's Donald. I'm hoping Coton, Hill and Reid get petaled. If it's a £10m investment into the academy, scouting and recruitment they we should go out and try to get the very best we can. It could be an exciting project. But if the 3 Stooges are allowed spend it nothing will change.

Says to me they weren't wealthy enough to buy us so therefore shouldn't have. There were other interested parties. Instead they've financed it using the clubs own money.
" says to me " 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and you got two likes 😳😂😂😂😂😂

This place is full of f***ing idiots
Jesus, any potential good news is immediately met by some on here with tin foil hat theories, you couldn’t make it up.
We must have the thickest and most paranoid fanbase in the whole of the football league

Are we not allowed to question, debate or discuss anything about the club unless it's 100% positive?

No one knows what the deal entails. It sounds like a £10m loan. After that we will have to wait and see.

No point having a go at posters because they are raising questions.
