Takeover

Longer than that. Dell was linked mid August I think, but they've been offering a deal to potential "investors" for months.

Yes and we had the campbell thing back in pre season which turned into bugger all, just seems like its been months more than weeks, you know how it is.

I know it is funny in way, but it's a real shame that the forum has been broken in two by the protracted misinformation that's been floated about the takeover by a number of groups of people.

Broken in two, how do you mean ?

Loads disappeared off over there, good posters too even though I don't always agree with them. Slagging off here. At the risk of being a bit of a soft shite, I think it's a shame.

We can always recruit new members and do on a dally basis. just have to move with the times i suppose.

yes there are..everytime someone criticises the concept of owners wanting a profit..fans talk abou wanting owners to "put money in"
But don’t most owners put the own money? Like the clubs you mentioned I’m sure chelsea owner put alot of his own money in and especially at the start.

Does everyone think reiver was making all that info up? Ive been banned for a couple of months so i could only read the board when logged out. I usually have him on ignore after a couple of differences of opinion. Despite this, reading those posts, i didnt get impression he was making it up like. He seemed to be specific where he could be i.e with the name of that Italian business man. In addition to this, a number of other posters vouched for his character.

It seems more likely to me that there could have been a good amount of truth in it and that everything was going well until something changed. Everything pointed towards it happening imminently. Like the fanzines/podcasts going big on it and the company being set up on companies house.

I cant help but think that the ownership may be moving the goal posts, either financially, by upping the price or by trying to keep donald running things. This would be unforgivable if it was the case. You cannot miss opportunities like this. If it was me i would feel morally obliged to ensure the deal went through. Regardless of whether i made a profit or not.

100% a takeover and heads of terms were sent to the football league. A last minute change of heart by the Americans, they got spooked by something and have decided to invest initially, then once we’re back up the leagues they will take over fully. I appreciate no one has to believe me but I’m certain it will all come out eventually. No idea why it hasn’t been announced today though.

These things take time, it will happen - patience is the thing that is least valued these days

When a website page takes more than 1 1/2 second to load we try another

as I’ve said before, I’ve been involved in many aquistions and they can take a long time, but the timescales have no relation to the chances of the deal going through.
Be fine - it’s happening

Probably fell through

Did you have it on good authority it would be today? This can seems to get kicked more than the Brexit one.

Aye but if the stumbling block was him being in charge. I cannot see why 4 blokes of that calibre would agree to invest and let a vastly less successful businessman run it for them? Doesnt add up for me that. Particularly as his decision making hasnt been the best.
I doubt Billionaires are that hands on with the relevant companies they own .
