Petrol gauge

Got a Dacia Duster and the petrol gauge has started going up and down randomly on the miles left.

For example today it was at 262 but would randomly count up every few seconds to 270 then drop down to 260 and repeat the process.

Any idea?

It’s playing with your mind!!
 
Depends on how you’re driving would be my guess. I get much better mileage on the motorway, than driving around near town. My miles to fill up fluctuates depending on where I’m driving.

Do the same route Monday to Saturday and just started doing it today. On flat roads as well
 
If it’s only just started doing it then it’s potentially a sensor or software related. Take it to the dealer and they will run a diagnostic for you
 
Imagine car shaming the lad.

Do a reset of your trip (handbook should tell you how) and try again. I wouldn’t worry about it though.

Keep an eye on the amount of fuel you’re using in case you have a hole in your tank or summat.
