What’s the longest you’ve gone without a non-alcoholic drink?

And if alcohol is a diuretic, so you piss more than you drink, how long is it possible to go without becoming dangerously dehydrated if you’re drinking beer that’s 95% water?

At Kendal Calling I didn’t have one for 4 days and didn’t notice anything untoward except that my morning piss was about a thimbleful.

About 14ish hours. All day session would start at 12, would have a coffee about 11, then alcohol all the way til about 12/1am, pizza shop for a kebab and can of coke.

I don’t know. Think I had a couple of beers a few weeks ago. I don’t have this obsession with drinking that some have on this forum though. I suppose I grew up and did adult things at some point in my life and that became the normal thing to do.

Probably about 12 hours at the most. A 4 day session without drinking water when I wake up or before I go to sleep would be minging.

You always seem so angry.

Nope. Its just that there seems to be lots of posters in here that seem to glorify drinking to excess. Why can’t people just enjoy themselves without that. It’s not that I’m against drinking - I’m really not - I’ve been as drunk as anyone else in my time. It’s just the older I got the more I figured out that I don’t need it to enjoy myself.

Look around any town and see the amount of drink and drug related violence. It’s not nice.

How many on here would accept a mitigation being put up in court of “my client accepts that he beat up the victim but he was on a bit of an all day sesh your honour and so therefore please be lenient in him” if it was a family member that had been put in hospital?

Only when I'm asleep duration wise. So 12 hrs when I was on shift work and always tired

Getting pissed doesn't always lead to bother ( most bother is drink related though)

I can remember both the longest stints, 2.5 weeks when I went off shore in 1998, then 42 days in in 2015 while in Indonesia the first time, was raining so much the driver couldn't make the jungle road out, by the time he could after a week, i thought I'd try doing the whole on cycle without.

Nobody accepts that whether family or not. It is possible to go out and not cause trouble, in fact at age 39 I've successfully managed it every single time I've been out.

The priest's housekeeper used to put cherry on my dummy as a baby cos it was her method of shutting me up...so about 15 years.

I did the Sober For October The First thing these last two years. I actually stayed sober for half of October 2nd this year too. Was quite proud of myself.

Oh I misread the OP. I thought you said "without an alcoholic drink".
