Next time Stewie comes out of hiding...

they cant deode what to do based on the reactio n of fans..many of whom are making stuffup about paerkinson anyway!

spoent on footballers...

Sold players to buy players not really a budget is it.
They've made a rod for their own, and his back, by appointing him when he was obviously so unpopular. They appointed him because he was cheap....clear as day.

You keep saying you criticize them all the time but in really struggling to find examples of it. Every argument against them you pipe up to tell us how great they are or make excuses.

Except for the period where you conveniently disappeared.

clear as day theres a connection.

So we spent our budget, 'highest in the division', getting rid of players and not replacing them. Seems we could have paid them to play for us instead.

why? we saved money this way..we spnet the budget on the players you see on saturday..no club in league one spends more on football players than us..we have vastly the highest wage bill..and since these owners came in no one has snt anything liek whatw e have on signing footballers..
and they did that while also spebding fortunes getting rid of players..

Worked a treat hasn't it? Happy house in here.

And you didn't apologise for swearing.

If the owners had any sense they'd have listened and responded to the fan reaction by retracting the job offer. You can't imagine for a moment they didn't see/hear the criticisms and very justifiable frustration which was almost unanimous.

Makes the idea it was given to him solely based on the fact he was the cheapest option all the more believable.
I'd love to see us win 5 in a row, then see what you have to say............

you are exactly right. it hasnt worked..thats because the money was spent spoorly, as we wshould have known it would be. SD has a track record of sppending big on football but the results not following..so i knew we would under achieve last year..didnt think it would be as bad as it was though.

....which I doubt will happen soon, he should be asked point blank why he thinks Parkinson is better than Stendel, Ainsworth or even Phillips (none of those seem unrealistic) and made to defend the appointment. We are already back to just getting a press release from the club and no dialogue because they know they're a f***ing disgrace and their decision making is a joke.

I haven't heard one supporter say they're happy about Parkinson, or even defend him based on anything concrete. He's had two promotions from this division in 16 seasons at this level. Nothing other than blind faith could lead you to believe he is a good choice.

Don't expect him to ever be asked but would love to hear him try to justify it.
He’s not hiding and you have no idea who was approached or who wanted the job, plus wouldn’t want ainsworth anyway

they didnt use money belonging to th club to pay short. they used it to pay SBC..that is, to clear a club debt. excpet for £10m that went to short..and has been repaid back into the club.
they work for free at safc every day..while most chairman and directors take a wage.they have fucked some stuff up royally..but the lies on here are revolting. they were offered the chance to port the debt, which would instantly havd made them very rich, that is, on day one, and chose not to, thats what makes me trust them..they turned down an immediate fortune.
they never intended to sell after one season and leave..as evidenced by the fact they tunred down the chance to do it repreatedly.
I still like Stewart Donald and have given him the benefit of the doubt whenever his explanations on the podcast haven't quite added up, but that's not what he said.

When they initially bought the club he said they (him and Methven) had paid £40m and Short had cleared the debt.

He categorically denied several times that Short was owed or would see any of the parachute payments.

On the podcast in May he said they'd paid £15m of his own money and used the rest/future parachute payments to pay Short in exchange for Short paying off the SBC debt, but said this was because the parachute payments were due in June and August so it meant he could put his own money into the club as and when required without waiting until then. He said he owed the club and would drip feed it back into the club to repay it.

A couple of weeks after that Methven told the RAWA that the money had already gone on paying off debts that were supposedly already paid off by Short.

I asked Grumpy to try and explain it but it is a tad complicated.
I can't recall what Donald said and when, but it seems he was sowed confusion by his none too clear utterances.
I think they should be cut a little more slack, as they've had to try and sort so much shit out.
If we aren't close to the top 2 by 1st January and the entertainment value at SoL hasn't improved, I might just join in being a dissenter - but not with personal abuse.

Maybe ask SD fi when he stayed behind to watch Charlton celebrate to make himself more determined than ever to succeed this season, did he also think reducing the experience and quality of the squad and replacing with inexperience , lack of physicality, and a low key scouting network was a good idea to achieve that, or did finances just take over in the mind.

It was a strange sequence of events that and did leave us weaker. This is where the recruitment strategy has to be challenged. It cost Ross his job and SD a load of hassle. I expect he has learned from it.

I hope he has, and that Hill and Coton are binned. They have failed miserably.
