Next time Stewie comes out of hiding...

You missed the group who will put up with absolutely anything. Or rather, you didn't miss them, they're a decent sized chunk of what you rather kindly call "normal fans".

I've been supportive of the owners since they arrived, tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, until the day they appointed this knacker. I can't be accused of always thinking the worst. I've assessed their performance and decided it's not good enough.

Not everyone who criticizes the club or it's current incumbent has an agenda.

I’d say this was a fair comment from the OP.

Maybe ask SD fi when he stayed behind to watch Charlton celebrate to make himself more determined than ever to succeed this season, did he also think reducing the experience and quality of the squad and replacing with inexperience , lack of physicality, and a low key scouting network was a good idea to achieve that, or did finances just take over in the mind.

Didn't hear anyone say they wanted him when he was linked with the job though.
He's here now and hopefully can do a job, but if his game plan is launching balls to Wyke, we won't make the play offs.

Now Wyke is out for months on end what is he going to do? McNulty on Grigg's shoulders wearing a red and white trench coat?

I am not sure any manager would have everyone's backing but the lack of effort by the players and no new manager bounce suggests things are likely to get worse.

The lack of respect on here is awful
Click bait in its worst form
Youve no idea what went on ,who rejected us, who wouldve walked here. Why would he appoint someone if he didnt think it was the right person. Sure he took a lot of advice , maybe he didnt.
No matter who was appointed there would be loads moaning about it
The players need a good sort out, most were put on a pedestal, King Maguire(ridiculous),overweight inconsistent 3rd division footballer. time will tell
Bit like brexit im sick to death of the bickering
Yes im ok hun, thanks for asking me husband is looking after me as he formats the fu*ker

Any ideas or suggestions then, genuine question

Only ones that would work in retrospect because the damage is done in appointing Parkinson.

I'd have given the job to a manager who'd focus on the best aspects of our game since we came down (passing it around quickly and getting the ball to the creative players, in good positions, as often as possible) as his priority. Then bringing in a decent defensive coach to get the back four well drilled and combative.

Instead we have a dour, one dimensional manager who will make us more regressive and achieve even fewer wins. Just about the worst type of appointment they could make.

Cheap by all accounts though.

SD will have taken his counsel from the former boss of Whitehawk FC. I think people have a right to question whether his continued trust in this chap is misplaced.

Where are roker report when you need them! When things were going well they had Stewie on every week telling him how fantastic he was, now it’s gone a bit tits up they don’t want to know. Would love someone to interview him but doubt we will hear from him until the ‘investment’ happens as he only wants to talk when it’s a pat on the back for himself. I liked the bloke but have finally seen through him.

Thanks for that answer but I meant in reference to my earlier question, what should I say / ask of SD or CM if and when I bump into either of them again

Ask them where the ambition, enthusiasm and apparent honest they arrived with has gone.

Ask then why we have been given an even worse manager than the one we sacked when there were plenty of more desirable options.

Ask them why it appeared we were on the brink of new major investment and it's suddenly been walked back.

Ask them why it feels like they're turning us into a stable league one club with little hope of ever being anything else.

First three are good questions mate, and if the fanzines had a positive and detached relationship with the club they're exactly the kind of questions you'd expect them to ask.

The fourth one doesn't stand up though - they can't make us a stable league one club, no matter how much they try. Our overheads are simply too much to even be in this league next season.
They more than us will know the financial meltdown that will happen if we're still here next season - and although it our club - it's their money on the line.

Criticise them all you want for the poor decision making and recruitment of players, but I reckon the thought of being in this league next season will already be giving them sleepless nights.

That’s pure koolaid stuff marra. There are no signs whatsoever of progress on the pitch. That’s what matters. Your answer to every sign of poor performances is to say that they’re trying to find billionaires to bail them out of the shite? That’s extremely weak. What happens when they mismanage things like they have so far on the pitch? What happens when they continue with bad, directionless recruitment like will Grigg and the rest? I’m not blinded by anything. I’ve got a better grasp on what is going right and wrong at the club than most tbh. That much is fairly evident from the fan discourse on here over the past 15 months. I’d love for them to turn their success on the financial side into success where it matters but they simply don’t a e the ability. That much is clear from all that they’ve said - and more importantly all that they’ve done - to date

They came in and said we have to stop needing a benefactor like Ellis and work in a sustainable manner.

One year later, we need a benefactor.

....which I doubt will happen soon, he should be asked point blank why he thinks Parkinson is better than Stendel, Ainsworth or even Phillips (none of those seem unrealistic) and made to defend the appointment. We are already back to just getting a press release from the club and no dialogue because they know they're a f***ing disgrace and their decision making is a joke.

I haven't heard one supporter say they're happy about Parkinson, or even defend him based on anything concrete. He's had two promotions from this division in 16 seasons at this level. Nothing other than blind faith could lead you to believe he is a good choice.

Don't expect him to ever be asked but would love to hear him try to justify it.
Surely we need to wait and see how Parkinson does. He certainly wasn't my choice but he did a good job at various clubs getting promotion etc. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that he turns us around. Yesterday was a performance of a Jack Ross team. Obviously he needs to get a win on tuesday but your post comes across as someone willing him to fail.

The facts you quote - 2 promotions in 16 seasons at this level - are incorrect which shows you as giving misleading information to make his managerial career look worse than it actually is. If you look accurately he's had 14 seasons at various levels - 3 promotions, 2 unsuccessful play offs, a league cup final with a 4th tier team, 3 seasons where he has saved clubs from expected relegation. His record is actually that most seasons as manager he has over achieved. However, that does not fit you narrative so you twist the facts. I'm not saying that he's my choice or that he definitely will succeed but your post is quite a bit more of a disgrace that the people you want to have a go at. Very poor.

Someone tweeted ‘Roker Report’ and asked them if Donald would be doing a podcast soon.

They said they’ve been told information would only be released by club statements from now on.
