Calm down. You’re hardly being nice are you. Every time I post it’s abuse from you.

Another abusive poster. You never see me doing this.
Being nice? I was just stating facts.
Which are true.
As for the every time You post comment.............
Firstly you shouldn't even be allowed to post as You're supposedly servign a lifetime ban.....
Secondly You just made it up and I very rarely have any kind of interaction with you.
Feel free to paste in any of these made up times so we can all take a look.

There’s a lot of posters who get away with a lot of things, the op clearly doesn’t get away with it as he’s been banned several times
but he shouldn't be allowed on here nevermind keep on flouting any kind of rules set in place on here.
You his barrister?

I think you’ve got to take lifetime ban with a pinch of salt, the mods aren’t daft, they know who posters are and keep an eye on things. If anyone misbehaves then they’re gone. Pretty fair and just tbh.

I joined in 2006.

When I joined things were different.

Let’s get things straight here this is a brilliant board this

1 This board used to be self policing. If one of us was a tit we could call out a tit. If you do that now you’re banned.

2 I think we need to have a look at ourselves and sort it out otherwise boards like this will shut.

Anyone fancy an amnesty.

Its not just an SMB its a society problem, since 2016 the UK has been a divided and angry society where people feel empowered to talk to each other like shit......Cant see it changing anytime soon, the genie is out of the bottle and the splits in communities, friends and family run deep. Its caused divorces, violence, family splits and all manner of fallings out. I think these huge differences in opinion were always there but Brexit seems to have seen the public explosion of these differences in the way Trump being a divisive bellend in the States has done there......The divisions started out with one focus (Brexit/Trump) but once that battleground was opened up and people admitted to themselves that actually they dont like the way many people they know and live with are then its moved on to other things.

Humans are highly emotional beings and this place seems to reflect what is going on in the world.

1 Brexit

2 safc takeover

3 Ross getting the boot

4 safc's fall from grace

People have very strong views on those subjects and it seems to be causing a lot of conflict on here.

Things should calm down when Brexit is complete 😅, the takeover is done, a new manager is appointed and when we start to look like we are ready for promotion although point 4 is something we all seem to agree on its still frustrating being in the position we are in.

I agree. Since Trump got in peoples opinions have really polarised. Even you yourself have thrown a ‘bellend’ there when describing someone which really isn’t needed. Then of course you had the referendum which has made people worse. Climate change now seems to be a hot topic which is causing further arguments.

I think kids also aren’t being taught to listen to their elders and are being backed 100% by their parents no matter what trouble they cause.

Ive seen the impact in school too, the difference between the way kids speak to each other and treat each other in the last few years has markedly declined. There was an article by a head teacher the other day that was saying exactly this and that parents/politicians and the general atmosphere in the country poisoning their kids and making them angry and intolerant.....I agree re the insulting stuff, it gets chucked out and becomes the norm.

Bravely done. Prepare for abuse and filthy language.

I am a 2006er as well. I closed my account a couple of months ago and rejoined under this name to read rather than post. I am more than happy to agree.

I’ve seen it too. A lot of them who are at uni age seem to have a chip on their shoulder as if the generation above have been doing things wrong. Are they being given this impression in their studies. When I was growing up I respected me dads generation and me grandas for the way they lived during the war among other stuff. I’m really not sure where it has come from.

You look at the way our politicians act though, they actually troll us. Trump with his ‘unrivalled’ claims about himself and Boris ‘crusty’ comments this week as an example. Clear tactics to get opposing factions to clash from Boris that. That’s what the Russians have done since the Cold War began.

It was only a matter of time before the aggression which is prevalent on social media crept into mainstream society.

The lashing out at differing opinions , the shutting down of free and open debate , quiet respect for others etc.

It’s really not looking good as more tolerant generations move on.

It is, I agree. That is why I take no part in any other social media activity. I only visit here. Very sad how it is being destroyed.
You can’t even do a thread like this without being abused to fuck. There’s been quite a few deleted posts. Some people just want to be abusive and can’t put differences aside.

UKpoliticians are leading the way in bad behaviour at present in the House of Commons and with dishonesty (the two expenses scandals) as well.

I am working in Texas just now. There is a big illuminated sign facing my hotel door. It reads "WAFFLE HOUSE" with a big arrow pointing left. I thought they must have bought our Parliament building and shipped it to Texas.
:)

As I said if you’ve ever watched Adam Curtis that’s exactly how the Russians used to do their politics. Create bogey men and enemies so you clung on to whoever was the strongest looking. Look at if we had an election now. Tories would win despite being shit.

i worry for the digital native generation who know no different. The online world is just as real as the ‘real’ world to them.

Maybe we’re in an in between time like the Wild West where lawless, faceless internet is on borrowed time. There’ll be a tipping point where accountability online will have to catch up to real life.
