Hearing from a reliable source that some utter scum has smeared the car handles of a workman’s car down there with dog shit - if it’s true they really need to seek help as that’s just the act of someone with mental issues.

When I last spoke to Miller they said they were hoping to have a sales office on site before the end of the year. It might kick off a bit then. I hope someone caught theses arseholes on camera and they get prosecuted for it.

Outline planning permission for 279 properties less 40 bed hotel less 85 Avant Homes means there is 154 properties up for grabs. There is not that much space available so it will have to be wass tower blocks on the old fairground. Might cast a shadow over South Bents in the afternoon.

Don’t think they are planning to deliver housing on the sea front site. I’ve said before I think apartments should be built over retail / leisure use where possible but from the last press release they are against it.

Anar mate, I watch things closely because I live here. Avant Homes site would be permanent, the hotel will be ‘permanent’, the Stack has approval for 8 years, the only bits left are the fairground and the area behind Martinos which was going to be a car park and probably still will be. The council should make Avant Homes pay for a class playpark for the bairns.

In the latest vision statement £2 million has been set aside for ocean park site but no mention on what that’s to build / do

Weren’t they going to have to move the sand play area? Guessing this will form part of that. Previous Siglion plans has quite a bit going on it cut throat dene from memory.

The dene bit was environmental stuff, picnic benches, planting and stuff, it’s flood plain so no buildings will be going there.

Agreed but you can have play area in the flood zone I believe. Think they showed at one point either a kids splash park or a mini-golf course.
 
Visited this weekend and spent more time than usual down Seaburn and Roker.
it’s sad to see all that space with so much potential sitting empty and waiting for the inevitable ‘executive’ housing that will end up there.

Hearing from a reliable source that some residents of South Bents have been threatened, on various social media channels and through written letters, with having their windows smashed in with bricks smeared in dog shite as a direct result of the , yet unevidenced, claims that somebody from South Bents smeared one of the work men’s car door handles with dog shite. Disgusting

The man’s an idiot....
