And Ross didn't ? We'll agree to disagree here mate
The owners have changed but the recruitment clearly hasn't. He may turn out to be a good manager but to me it seems like the type of situation where a manager knows a club, expectations are low, he's allowed time and has decent success over a long timescale.
That's just about the opposite of the situation he'd walk into here. I'm not sure this is a great idea.
No they wontExactly. First 1-1 draw and people will be calling for him to be sacked and replaced with Pep.
...and failed?.....that has been in a big club
Why do you prefer Ainsworth?Paul Cook is a massive massive massive no
Ainsworth isn’t the worst
Such drivel???? Howmany managers have we had man ffs over the last 10 years? Only BSA got it right towards the end if his reign. There is no guarantee of success with any manager. We gave JR a chance. We gave Sgt Wilko a chance. Please dont come out with such drivel.
Well you can see why we are interestedIs Gareth Ainsworth any good? Would he make a good Sunderland manager? BBC commentator tells all
Gareth Ainsworth is one of the clear favourites to become the next Sunderland manager, but is he any good? We sat down with Wycombe match commentator Phil Catchpole to pick his brains and find out more about a man he’s worked closely with for many years.rokerreport.sbnation.com
Interesting read. I’m really not convinced like but that does sound positive.
Why's that? Got his last three clubs promoted.Paul Cook is a massive massive massive no
Ainsworth isn’t the worst
Generally has that reputation, yes.Is he actually attacking though?
Last season?
Stendl: 91 points from 46 games
Ross: 85 points from 46 games.

"When the club had literally nothing, Gaz was on Amazon buying replacement goal nets for the training ground and painting the gym alongside club volunteers. "
I actually think he’ll be alright. Attacking, 4-3-3 rather than shite 4-2-3-1, team set up for the dark arts, got a bit of arrogance about him. He won’t be as bad as we might think.
It’s 90% manager and 10% player quality on here man.Strendl had a far better side than Ross did mate. I know that's not a popular opinion but I think its true. Ross also had a lot of turmoil behind the scenes to deal with and lost his star player in January. Had Ross and Strendl swapped places at the start of last season, there is every chance Barnsley would have been even further ahead of us.
