Ainsworth - Formal approach

The owners have changed but the recruitment clearly hasn't. He may turn out to be a good manager but to me it seems like the type of situation where a manager knows a club, expectations are low, he's allowed time and has decent success over a long timescale.

That's just about the opposite of the situation he'd walk into here. I'm not sure this is a great idea.

'Sunderland are a magnificent side, what a football club, their fans were awesome – what a following that is. That was a great point.’

The game kicked off at 3pm and finished at around 5:12pm from memory. They took turns to feign injury everytime the ball went out. Some of the tackles were X rated and Watmore's last injury was a result. They were a horrible team and horrible to watch.

People complaining about them being shithouses - that doesn't necessarily mean it's how he wants to play. I mean, when Maguire "shithouses" everyone seems to love it, so maybe there's room for that here anyway, but is it not quite likely that he does it there in order to help his team punch above it's weight, something Ross couldn't manage with us. With better players here he might well play a better style

Managers tend to stick to what got them to where they are mate.

I've got no problemwith Ainsworth coming in and kicking us into shape, put some belief in the player's, been more streetwise and adding some shithousery. That might be enough to get us up. It doesn't change the fact the club needs sorting root and stem and his appointment suggests that would be way off.
This is getting overlooked now. We need new ownership.
