Things You Didn’t Know

The RAID aerosols don't say to spray it onto the fly, it says with RAID there is no need to spray directly at the flying insects.
as the mist kills them.

It has directions for use.
Option one is something like
"for direct knock down spray directly on insect from 60 to 90cm away"
Then for room treatment spray it liberally in the middle of the room and shut the doors and windows.

Option 2 is no good if you've got a wasp or blue bottle buzzing away in the window while you're sitting trying to watch telly, so you shut all the doors and windows and choke yourself. You just go over and give a knock out blow

From the Raid website:

Shake well before using.

Point spray nozzle away from face and press button, holding container as upright as possible.

Spray into the air with a sweeping motion, keeping about three feet from interior walls, fabrics and furniture, until the room is thoroughly misted.

For Wasps, Hornets, Yellow Jackets, and Asian Lady Beetles: Spray directly at stray insects that enter the building.

Do not remain in treated area. Keep room closed for two hours.

Ventilate room thoroughly before re-entry.

To reduce annoyance of these insects, spray area when air is calm for best results.

I have a £3 bottle of RAID and I just read the directions for use.

It does knock wasps for 6 like if you spray them directly.

From tesco website

DIRECTIONS FOR USEFOR INDOOR USE ONLY. Shake before using. Point spray nozzle away from face and press button, holding container as upright as possible. With RAID there is no need to spray directly at flying insects as the mist in the air will kill them. Close all doors and windows. For the average size room (30 cubic metres) spray in a slow sweeping motion for 8 to 10 seconds starting from the middle of the room and backing toward the door, directing the spray to all areas of the room. Keep spray about 1 metre from interior walls, fabrics and furniture. Do not remain in treated area. Keep room closed for 15 minutes. Ventilate room thoroughly before re-entry. For fast knockdown, spray directly at insects, keeping about 1 metre from interior walls, fabrics, and furniture. Spray directly at stray wasps, hornets or yellow jackets that enter building. For residual control of insects, spray from a distance of about 1/2 metre, around doors and windows where insects enter the house. It is recommended to check for potential staining and damage in an inconspicuous place before complete treatment. DO NOT TOUCH TREATED SURFACES UNTIL DRY.

All this information will be on the can. Lethal stuff like

You are right marra thanks for clarifying. nice one.

I've lived in Lancashire for 29 years and found out last week there is a Sunderland on the Lancashire coast, near Morecambe.

Ah yes , Sunderland Point - fantastic views of the Lake District peaks from there.

Mind you that Morecambe Bay is treacherous-one minute it’s an inviting sandy expanse - within minutes it’s neck deep in seawater - there’s whirlpools and sinking sand too.

Ps our house is on that map.

60% of people, worry, that they care far more, about somebody, than that person cares about them.

Daydreaming is good for the brain.
(I do a LOT of daydreaming) 😊

Not having enough sex, puts people at risk, of suffering from, anxiety, depression and paranoia (and I thought it was, all down to SAFC)

Just discovered today why trains are “stabled” and not parked in train sheds/depots...

Apparently it goes back to the days when people only had the option of horse/horse and cart for travelling, so after their journey the horses were stabled, so when the trains came along, the term was carried over for their use.

Koala bears have two cocks.....tiny one at the root of the main penis, tickles the lady bears man in the boat during sex.

According to Attenborough.
You learn something new on here, every day. 👍
I've heard of the saying, "he's like a dog, with two cocks" but never heard of the saying "he's like a Koala with two cocks"
