All this fretting about the takeover being off is nonsense.

If it was off we would be told it’s off, we wouldn’t be kept hanging on for an off announcement.

In less than seven days we will have new owners who have a few bob - let that sink in.

What little we have learned over the past couple of weeks is that the prospective new owners are going about this the right way. It seems that there is not a stone being left unturned in their meticulous examination of all aspects of the club and it is when this process has been completed and not before that the takeover will be announced.

Yes it’s frustrating but there’s absolutely nothing been said by anyone with genuine credibility that suggests this process is not continuing and will in the not too distant future be completed to everyone’s satisfaction.

If nothing else we can all celebrate this thread being condemned to the annals of PF history.

The good news is we are only hours away from we seem to have forgotten is the primary reason for being here - supporting our team and talking about an actual football match.

I'm pretty sure SD, Charlie and whoever in the current regime are as sick of all this as anyone. Itll be chewing them up not being able to do what they do - tweeting, having a pint with the fans, generally being open.

Let's just enjoy the matchday as a nice diversion and we can get back to winning the takeover cup tomorrow.

Should add that this is from a fan's perspective. It's likely things are changing that we don't know about.

Some rich Americans are reviewing the club's finances before taking it over. That's all anyone knows. The rest is gossip, hogwash, piffle, humbug, hysteria, flakiness etc etc
