1 minute will be added on each half as standard even if there are no stoppages.Play well over 90 mins would be a start
Thatll do me .To be serious. If anyone thinks 4 multi billionaires one of whom is the 20th richest man in the world are going to piss about watching f***ing Rochdale every year they need their heads checked
They will do as much as it takes to get to the Premiership cash cow asap imo

Its about time these mags were left to talk to themselves they bring nothing to the forumFuck off then, you wont be missed. Sad little bellend. Imagine complaining that your rival football team's messageboard isn't good enough.
It's an interesting thought, I cant see them being motivated to drop billions on it mind.
I don't think there has ever been a better time to be a premiership side, with outstanding backroom staff the potential to make a great deal of money from the premiership is certainly there.
i really really hope you are right! It will transform not only the club but the whole of sunderland!Thatll do me .
Top post marra. It all adds up and is correct.(10 Year plan, Premier league within 3 years, established top ten within 6 years, challengers thereafter).
Isnt the nfl a fixed league with no relegations and a salary cap?So the clubs will have a guarenteed minimum revenue! This might happen if they create a european super league of all the best football clubs in europe! As there appears to be bugger all happening on the takeover front, his seems the appropriate thread for a bit of background that may be of interest.
A few weeks ago, I'm pretty sure before it was mentioned in the press, my son (MLF) asked me if I'd heard anything about Dell and SAFC.
Being ITK, I told him if it was true then I'd bare my arse in Doggarts window.
Anyway when the news broke I emailed an old friend of mine who now owns a few businesses in the States and simply said why Dell and SAFC?
He has experience of management both in EFL and motor racing. He's usually very well informed in this sort of area and already knew of MSD.
This was his reply:
Simply because it's got Premier League potential. Football clubs in the US are not only trophy assets but they proved to be a good investment.
I think that Steve Ballmer the former head of Microsoft paid $2 billion for his and someone else paid a similar amount for the Houston Rockets basketball club last year.
On the basis that we always follow American trends (just think about sports salaries) there are people investing in UK and European football club's expecting them to rise in value in the same way.
I expect that one day a Formula One team will be worth $1 billion and that even a league one football team might be worth $50 million.
There you go - not earth shattering revelations but nevertheless quite interesting and should generate plenty of squabbles.

ExactlyCorrect....Waiting for the exchange rate to tank..
You are jokingExactly!! Also when and if we ever win anything I want the open top bus parade to go past the Strawberry down Northumberland Street and into Eldon Square!!!
No idea mate. Would hope that there is an investment in people that know football to run the club. Pity the thread was merged as it was a good stand alone thread. Not a criticism of anyone, but it was a welcome break mateWhat do you think the plan will be if and when the takeover is announced?
Obviously, they have got a lot of money but what do you think they intend to do with our club?
A new Man City where billions are invested in playing staff, managerial staff, youth and infrastructure?
A new Red Bull that realise to become exceptional on the pitch, you must first hire exceptional staff?
Aggressive investment to get us to the premier league and then hang on in there?
More of the same?
Let's be honest mate.. Even when we were 2-0 and playing well the place was like a library.. What the solution is I do not know.. I try my best to get people going where I sit, but the atmosphere is soul destroying at times.Give ower mate
They can just dodge FFP by naming it the Dell Stadium or somethingThey'll be looking to increase the turnover for FFP, I can see naming rights to the stadium being sold as well as possibly extending
We’re a shed find. A dilapidated 1930’s Bentley that needs the money and know how to coax us back into life and restore us to our former glory after 80 odd years of filler and bodge jobs.As there appears to be bugger all happening on the takeover front, his seems the appropriate thread for a bit of background that may be of interest.

I can understand that, having a billion pounds and finding a football club that got under the skin it would be easy to sign up to it and put a few million aside (even crazy amounts were in the pipeline)One of rr podcasts he was asked about the parachute payments, and to be honest he went around the houses with his answer?
Would need a riot vanYou are joking
They’ll do whatever it takes to get the club back into the PL in two seasons. Once back there, they’ll build something very special, recruiting the very best staff who’ll come, set up a world class scouting network and do whatever they can to make us sustainable yet winning things. They’ll spend a lot of cash, but they’ll make damn sure the club brings in a great deal of money as well. They’ll raise our profile by tirelessly and relentlessly spreading the word in every corner of the planet.
These lads aren’t going to settle for scraping mid table finishes and mediocrity, they’ll want us in Europe. They’ll want us playing magical football, gaining new fans and respect from all over the world. If they didn’t believe they could achieve this with SAFC, they wouldn’t be buying us, regardless of Netflix documentaries. They’re not mugs.
We’re gonna be in the very best hands imaginable. Bookmark this!
I’m not in any doubt whatsoever there will be great times ahead. I’m just on edge, praying for the announcement that the deal is completed. I think a lot of posters are underestimating just how far these lads are about to take us...
