With Dell being a passive investor rather than on the board it will more than likely make it much easier for us to get round FFP. And these lads will know exactly how to get round it

It's an interesting thought, I cant see them being motivated to drop billions on it mind.

I don't think there has ever been a better time to be a premiership side, with outstanding backroom staff the potential to make a great deal of money from the premiership is certainly there.

They wont need to drop billions to get us where we would all love to be

A stable mid table Premiership side who gives the cups a go

The combined wealth of these four individuals dwarfs the Man City arab owner.I dont think they are here to mess around and be also rans. They certainly dont need the publicity.Bright times ahead I hope.

Think Ellis probably dropped around 200-300 million and football has moved on even in a very short space of time.

How does that work like ? Is Dell a bit of a stickler ?

What do you think the plan will be if and when the takeover is announced?

Obviously, they have got a lot of money but what do you think they intend to do with our club?

A new Man City where billions are invested in playing staff, managerial staff, youth and infrastructure?

A new Red Bull that realise to become exceptional on the pitch, you must first hire exceptional staff?

Aggressive investment to get us to the premier league and then hang on in there?

More of the same?

I don't know.

I'm hoping the throw money at the youth team coaching, scouting at all levels and the medical science.

Make us a place youngsters want to come to, the best coaches and facilities money can buy

I think if needed they would invest that. Its amazing to say thats loose change to these bloke

Definitely but if Ellis dropped that 5 years ago, it's probably twice as expensive now and we were only ever just keeping our heads above water. God knows how much it would take to ensure the next level to that is achieved and we would still be losing money each year, I imagine anyone's motivation may wane at the site of a 50-100m bill each season.

Yep, I think that would be ideal, an English Ajax as it were, a real culture throughout the club.

The main difference being Short had no football people round him advising him on how to spend that money

Burnley / Norwich / Sheff Utd had to spend nowhere near those figures. They just had good football people making good football decisions

Exactly, if I had spare billion to throw away I would make it the top priority.

The first team would benefit longer term due to having the best medical. Staffz scouts and coaching as well

Just what’s needed , another takeover thread :D

The whole set up needs a shake up - scouting , recruitment , coaching

Doesn’t need crazy money throwing at it but more than SD can provide

Absolutely, also it is reasonable to expect some type of return without a crippling wage bill in the meantime.

If done well, it would have the best opportunity of making its money back as opposed to paying people more than they are worth to "help" us.
