I think completed should be the term. My personal view, is that the price is agreed, the deal, like buying a car from a garage! But you can reject it up until you collect it and are happy with it. It's agreed but not completed. To be fair to Reiver, the message may have been referring to the deal being agreed.
The time span thing, I think everybody expected it in days not weeks.

Exactly. It's like some people dont have functioning brains. It's been explained about 70 times on this thread already. 'Done' deal is not an absolute point in time and its definition varies from person to person. But the buying of a car analogy is a good one.
 
Reiver seems like a decent bloke and is not the type to mess our long suffering fans about because he's one of us. He's trusted someone who has clearly given him incorrect information though.
 
So, it seems that, like I said weeks ago, Reiver was hoping to strike lucky on information and has been found out. It’s hardly surprising that he decided to stop posting and take his account down after being proved wrong.

The latest and probably the greatest member of the RAOS.

Post like this are not funny .People are at their wits end with this takeover,not so much because they think we are going to miss out on the big time but more of a case of they are worried what will happen to us if it doesn't .If it doesn't come off we will be languished in this league for years to come with no hope .
