Thomas Cook - going bust?

Bit of a query. I can't access my email anymore that my holiday was booked under therefore unable to get booking number, atol certificate etc.. When I make my claim surely they'll be able to access all that if I give them my name, address, card used etc... ? Just a bit concerned I might lose the lot otherwise.

ATOL Protected passengers with future bookings are entitled to a full refund for their cancelled holiday. The CAA will be launching a service to manage all refunds on Monday 30 September, once the flying operation has progressed. This refund service will seek to process all refunds within two months of receipt of a fully completed claims form. This is due to the poor quality of the Thomas Cook passenger data provided to the UK CAA.

Further information will be available on our dedicated website in the coming days, but please do not submit anything to the CAA in the meantime as the organisation continues to focus on the repatriation flying programme to return more than 150,000 passengers to the UK. More information will be provided about the claims process in the coming days.

If you are not sure how to identify your travel company or whether you are ATOL protected, please see our advice how do I know if I am ATOL protected.

I reckon I need my booking number like and I can't access it. Be absolutely gutted if I can't claim without that.

Get a bottle of whisky and a gun instead then.
Why are you being weird ? I asked a perfectly valid question hoping to get a decent answer out of someone. All I can take from this farce is that you're rich and money isn't a problem. I wish I was in that boat but I'm not and I was hoping someone in the know could put my mind at rest that I wouldn't need the booking number.

Also - fuck off you wanker.
Is there no way you can access the email account?
Nope

Not being funny, but wouldn't you need these details to go on the holiday anyway? To access e-tickets, check-in etc you would need your booking reference typically.
Yeah probably but I would have had a year to sort it out (if TC still existed and I went on my holiday). I've had no access to my emails since 11 days ago and then within a week thomas cook went bump. To be honest I'm quite confident I'll be able to sort it without the booking reference number.

yeah if you can provide enough other details I reckon you'll be ok, especially if the D/D was coming from a bank account in your name

I think this will probably be the case, fingers crossed you get sorted anyway.
