What’s the worst place you’ve ever been to?

Stopped at Methill once on a drive along the Fife coast. There are loads of gorgeous fishing villages along that stretch of coastline. Unfortunately Methill isn't one of them. Its an absolute shithole. East Fife's stadium is there.

Another place I hate is Bournemouth. I went there on holiday with my parents as a 16 year old and what a dull place. Probably my worst ever holiday.

I've always found Middlesborough to be a bit of a dump too although I've been told the city centre has a canny little craft\real ale circuit now so maybe things have improved.

Oh, and Burgas in Bulgaria. Dumpsville.

I’ve mentioned a few times on here how we used to pick a kid up on the way to Seal Sands Rd from Port Clarence in early 90s when I was working back up Norf for a few weeks. Didn’t have the heart to take him up on his offer of petrol money. Awful place, made Ryhope look like Cleading.

It’s gotta be up there. Or should that be down there. Mind there’s some lovely houses up the hill once you get away from the station/central area.

It is a grim place - used to drive regularly when I was working Seal Sands area (Tioxide, PIP etc.) one of the most deprived places I have seen in the UK

Port Clarence is the worst place in the north east ... in the world it's a tough call, but I'll still say Luton.

I sometimes drive past Port Clarence and up the Seal Sands road just to gawp at the outright poverty and dismal views. It's quite fun.
Coming up the A19, just come off at Stockton and follow the signs for Haverton Hill and then Hartlepool, it's like another world ...

Stone Town in Zanzibar. Was nice enough to look at but full of Muslims who like to sing death prayers at 5am every day over tannoys in the street.
